I'd guess if we call it his actual physical prime and not artificially enchanced: Antonio Tarver 3, Prince Badi Ajamu, Anthony Hanswaw, Felix Trinidad and Joe Calzaghe. :think

    Joe ruined him.

:patsch Evidently, seeing as I was hardly being serious what with this being a jokey troll thread and all, not quite as dumb as you.

Please don't respond to my posts again you argumentative little weirdo. I don't have either the patience or the time anymore to be dealing with miserable old sourpusses like you. :good

    What myth?

    It's called circumstances.

Life is defined by circumstances and opportunities.

He didn't have to beat lineal champs etc.

    They'd have just been statistics.

There is nothing to hate. Joe was never that special ,he took on bums for the majority of his career and added names just to make his resume look good ..I'm no steroid apologists I just know it does t make you a better boxer nor does it give super human speed or a better chin but you come here and say some of the dumbest things I have ever read beginning with this thread ..

And if you followed his career he wasn't ever a big guy but your making him out to be the rock ..And your last sentence proves it's something personal with you maybe he beat your favorite fighter like I said who knows your probably a disgruntled Clinton Woods fan.

He was undisputed lhw champ he also beat Tarver to regain the undisputed LHW championship after he won his WBA HW belt .

How many fighters have done that ? Just curious ?

Yeah, it really looks as though you're a fan of Roy's.

    What's the BS?

    Again, it's circumstances.

How many examples do you want?

Wladimir Klitschko currently looks great in his late 30's.

Whereas Ali looked like sh*t in his late 30's.

But in the grand scheme of things, it means nothing.

Everyone ages differently depending on their circumstances.

Joe Calzaghe - was 36 years of age, and he'd had 45 fights, across two divisions. On THREE separate occasions, he told everyone how he wasn't interested in Roy, because Roy was shot. Roy was 9 weeks from his 40th birthday, and he hadn't won at the top level for 5 years.

Antonio Tarver - was 35 when he beat Roy. But although they were the same age, Tarver didn't turn pro until he was in his late 20's. Going into the fights against Roy, he'd only fought 23 times. Whereas Roy had fought over 50 times, and had been through five divisions, and had gone to HW and back, losing muscle in the process.

Reggie Johnson was 33, and was past his best when he fought Roy. But he was still a very good fighter, and Roy beat him with ease.

Virgil Hill was 34, and was also past his best. But Roy beat him with absolute ease, and was the only person to have stopped him in a 57 fight career. Hill went on to beat Fabrice Tiozzo in a single round at CW, two years after he'd lost to Roy.

    Don't forget two things:

    1. Joe wanted nothing to do with Roy when he was prime.

    2. Roy beat Tarver in their first fight.

If Roy beat Tarver after 50 fights, after moving up to HW and back, and losing muscle in the process, there's no reason why he couldn't have beaten him when he was younger and fresher.

Joe was never good enough to have beaten Roy anywhere near his prime, which is why he said he wasn't chasing him in 1999, and he'd have wanted 'the Crown Jewels' in 2003, because he knew the RISK involved.

Did you enjoy 'Bad Blood' at the weekend?

You've got some of the names and the weights mixed up here.

But what point are you trying to make?

    It was OK.

No I didn't get them mixed up. I copied my original post and started typing without double checking which way I had it (it was from MW to LHW not the other way round). Do you think I thought those guys at LHW were MWs? lol. I'm still half asleep, been up most of the night.

I'm joking, Loudon. Having a bit of fun as it were. Feel free to have a go at a serious list if you want though. No one else has given it a shot.

Just as I thought, you are a bitter Frank Minton, Robert Curry, Tyrone Jackson, Guy Staford, Anthony Brooks, Pat Lawlor, Taylor Huhges, Omar Shieka, Will Mcintyre, Charles Brewer, Miguel Ángel-Jiménez, Tocker Purwell, Byron Mitchell, Jeff Lacy, Peter Manfredo Jr, Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr fan and a steroid apoligist because you went from being a 95lb pencil neck geek, tried PEDs like your hero Roy and ended up as a 96lb pencil neck geek, covered in acne with erectile dysfunction.:lol:

Joe never was special but none of your heroes in red, white and blue could save the day, despite juicing (which of course, doesn't help fighters whatsoever according to you).:lol:

    Jones record v Brits 1-1
    Joe's record v Yanks 17-0 (including Roy).

    I think I know who's winning.

Roy told Joe SIX years prior to the fight he didn't want to fight him and waited for Joe's hands to almost completely disintegrate before he did.

Roy was also not interested in coming to the UK for a fight- where he would've had to take more stringent drug testing.

When Joe talked of knowing his physical limitations he was talking about naturally without having to resort to PEDs, something Jones Jr had to wait until much later to find out and learn he was the owner of a repulsive egg shell mandible. :yep
