Roy would never have beaten Lennox. But the amount of disrespect he gets for venturing into the HW division and fighting Ruiz, is a joke. It needs to be put into perspective. The fact that you've even asked the question speaks volumes. I see that you are a fan of Artur Beterbiev. So am I. He's the same size as Roy. Yet how realistic is it that he'll eventually venture up to CW or HW in the future? Also, Roy started his career at JMW and MW. It's okay for you to laugh at the responses in this thread, but Roy attempted something that guys like Artur will probably never even dream of doing. And the same applies to guys like Kovalev too. Let's see if he moves up to CW or HW in a few years time. I doubt it.
Roy was open to fighting Evander for big money. Corrie Sanders would have been a horrible match up for Roy. He didn't change his mind on that, he went back and asked for more money. It was for the same guarantee as the Ruiz fight, but it was obviously a much more dangerous fight. I can't blame Roy for that. He was a LHW who was approaching 35.
JDJ has all but said Kovalev is going up to Cruiserweight after he completely unifies the Light Heavyweight Division. It is a done deal. And you can bet Kovalev will take on all comers and not handpick the worst beltholder like Jones did. :roflatsch Jones is an embarrassment.
Which three muppets imagine that RJJ could KO Lewis? atsch C'm on, stand up and be counted, or admit that you're trolling. :nono
We'll have to see. Saying and doing are two different things. Let's see how successful he is, and let's see if he ventures up to HW. It's okay ripping what Roy did, but how many other former MW's have moved up in the modern era? Look at who else fought at LHW in 2002. None of them were beating down Ruiz's door for a fight. That was 13 years ago now. Who's done it since? Nobody. But you can't appreciate the above, because you're an absolute joke.
