I've seen the fight and I remember Phillips coming on strong in the second half of the fight. I also remember Phillips putting Tszyu between the ropes. If Tszyu wanted to prove anything he should have rematched Vince. Castillo was done by the time he moved up in weight.

Castillo lost to both Jauregui and Alvarez in 1996 and 1998 respectively.

Then Castillo was the WBC champ in 2000, Alvarez was ranked at that time why did he not rematch him to clean the slate.

When Jauregui was ranked in 2004 onwards Castillo had just regained the title in 2004 against Lazcarno, again why did he not rematch the man?

See its easy to find silly faults in a guys career......referring to Tszyu v Phillips.

Tszyu would have given him a rematch but Phillips blew his chances by losing(Oliveira, Sharmba). Vince was getting very old as well.

Those losses were before his prime. I believe Castillo also fought Jauregui in 94 as well. Tszyu was in his prime and Vince put him to sleep between the ropes. Tszyu suffered this embarrassing loss in his prime. Why do you think Tszyu was better than Castillo?

He could have rematched him before that if he wanted to. You're right, Tszyu got knocked out by an aging slightly above average fighter.

40 year old Vince Phillips almost knocked out Hatton.
33 year old Jose Luis Castillo was brutalized with body shots and knocked out in 4 rounds.

yeah but he was shot against Hatton. That being said I think castillo is overated especially at 140 where Tszyu was at his best. He would stop Castillo

You just said that Phillips was getting very old and that's why Tzsyu didn't fight him, but then to add credibility to your argument you say Vince almost KO'd Hatton at the age of 40. Castillo was finished by the time he moved up to 140.
