if we're talking prime vs prime, I'd have to go with JCC. His chin, body work, and underrated defense would give Pac fits. Manny's machismo would be his undoing as I think Chavez could take anything Manny throws at him while still walking him down and hurting his body.

Pacquiao at his prime had a piece of iron. He fought Morales, Barrera and Marquez. Never even went down or close to being wobbled until the 4th Marquez fight. Yet they kept hitting the deck against him though.

 

Manny Pacquiao was wobbled by little Oscar Larios, and by Marco Antonio Barrera in the 2nd fight. Manny Pacquiao was also KTFO by Singsurat, and Torrecampo. Nedal Hussein pretty much has Pacquiao out for the full count, but Philipino ref counted very slow, and Marquez floored Pac in rd 3 and KTFO in rd 6 of their last fight.

Pacquiao has been:

KTFO 3 times
KD and hurt badly 2 times
Wobbled bad at least twice.

Chavez was completely destroyed by DLH and Tszyu. Neither Pac nor Chavez ever took a Knockdown in their prime.

 

When do you consider Pac's prime? Also, Pac had two primes for some ODD reason in case you didn't know.

 

For Pac 2003-2009 is his prime IMO.

 

In 2006 Oscar Larios stunned Pacquiao really good early in the fight.
In 2007 MAB also hurt Pacquiao very bad in the 11th.
