Pac was still fighting at a high level, Chavez clearly wasn't. That's the difference.

Would have been an ATG fight... damn.

I cant really call it. Pacs got some major advantages imo, but I see where JCC would be able to put in work as the rounds went on.

Could be one of those matches where they would go back and forth in victories every time they fight.

I admittedly don't know as much about jcc as I should though so maybe id favor him the more i watch him.

He landed hard power shots that had an effect on Pacquiao. That's the essence of being a boxer-puncher. If you can't hit hard enough to drive your opponent off then you're not really a boxer-puncher now are you?

You said no one ever pressured Pacquaio, that's obviously false.

Putting pressure on Pacman puts you in the wait for..................................DANGER ZONE!! (Archer voice)Let's be real here I take nothing away from
Chavez, Pacquaio should be on the bottom of list of people he wants to fight. Styles makes fights. Not to say Chavez doesn't have a chance it's just I don't think he has a very good shot. The speed + volume he was throwing in his prime makes it hard to think he could. Chavez would eat a lot of leather, he would probably taste it for the next few months.

SMH you can't pressure Pac. But Pac can sure can get KTFO! JCC didn't event get KOd until he was old in his 99th fight.

The danger zone is Pac's chin. JCC by KTFO over Pac. JCC > Morales or JMM

I think the most important question is at what weight.
    Below 135 I favour Chavez
At 135 boy I really dunno.
Above 135 my money is on pacman.

lighter weights 135 an down pac does not have the ring IQ to hang with chavez. it would be a hell of a matchup but chavez wins this UD.

above 140 you can really start to make a case for pac

As big a Pac fan as I am....I agree.
And it's not so much being heavy handed, it more the size difference.
Pac is really a LW, and could comfortably make that weight right now if it meant a 20 mil fight.
Whereas JLC was a corpse when he fought Oscar at 140, going as far as saying he struggled to make 147, and was trying to negotiate a CW.

135-140lbs Chavez by Murder. Manny would be KTFO by either body shot or prolonged beat down & TKO'd in the late rds. (Bloodbath)

Chavez would cut the ring off, he had a good thumping jab and that right hand which PAC has always been a sucker for. Good ring IQ, left hook to the body and head. As fast as PAC was, if he stands and exchanges with Chavez he'll get the worst end of the stick. Margarito was slow and lumbering, you can't compare him to a prime Chavez. Another thing Chavez had in his prime was excellent timing, and we all know how Marquez used that to his advantage.

It's not about pressuring Pacquiao, it's about outboxing him. Let's not forget Chavez could cut PAC, and when Chavez sees blood he turns into a savage.

    Chavez TKO10 Pacquiao

I say Manny Pacquiao without any doubt in my mind, reason, just look at all of Pacquiao’s fights against taller pressure fighters who hold their hands high, he picked them apart, controlled the range and hit that at will, he dominated Cotto, he picked apart Margarito and hit him at will, and he destroyed hatton by picking his punches, controlling the range and countering, as for Chavez, he prefers tall fighters who have no power and move, Pacquiao would be a small target to hit and because of his amazing feet, would not be be able to pin down Pacquiao Pacquiao stops him on cuts because he busts him up or Chavez may quit

I don't know who would win, but Pac's desruction of ODLH was sweet revenge for JCC and Whitaker. De La Hoya wanted to cherry pick old legends so when it was his turn to be the shopworn vet he was obliterated.

Pac vs. JCC anywhere from 130-140 lbs. would have been a great matchup.

Great fight between two atg , Pacquiao had trouble with fighter's with great timing and a good right hand (Morales, Marquez, Mayweather) Chavez had one of the best right hands in the game and was very game in his prime, My pick Chavez beats probably by late stoppage at 130 and 135 , 140 by ud in a very competitive close fight.
