It would be a glorious event named fight of the decade. Both men would get dropped twice, yet get up to fight on. An average of 32 power punches/round would be landed by each fighter. Both fighters would be cut and horribly disfigured. When the bell rang to end the fight, they would embrace in a 2 minute ***ually akward man hug, agreeing there would be no rematch.

Final result is a draw. Kelly skips the trip to the hospital and goes straight to the bar.

GGG took shots from Curtis Stevens flush, get over yourself.

Just because Curtis Stevens isn't a world beater does not mean he doesn't have tremendous power for a middleweight.

Actually he is a world beater, I'd give him the advantage in a Quillin, or Jacobs fight.

Kelly hits hard as hell also. I honestly am confused by your comment and have no idea what your problem is with what I posted.:?

I'll take Golovkin by late stoppage. I liked Kelly and enjoyed watching him, but his career was really short and he didn't have many tests. Kelly's claim to fame was Miranda and Taylor, both of whom lacked durability and discipline when the going got tough.

I think Golovkin has the heavier hands, better footwork, and his passive defense would all make the difference. Pavlik was there to be hit more so than Golovkin would be. I feel there's a significant enough difference in pedigree's that -double the F*cking jab's not going to do it.

People seriously think that EVERY aspect of GGG's game is untested because he has fought opposition they deem to be inferior when it is no fault of his own. Let's just break this down for a minute.

    • Chin - Taking flush shots from Stevens (who is a legitimate one punch knockout artist) is indicative of someone with an iron beard. This isn't debatable.
    • Power - The way he drops, or puts to sleep opponents with shots that don't even look like they have a lot of power behind them is a sign of his true power punching capabilities. The left hook that destroyed Macklin, or the right had that destroyed now heavyweight contender Ishida give it all away.
    • Speed - Pretty decent speed. Not the fastest guy around, but he gets the job done.
    • Skills - This is the area he's most underrated in. Nobody without any skills wins an Olympic silver medal. NOBODY!

Golovkin is just THAT good. The only one I could see beating him within a reasonable distance from middleweight (154-168) is Andre Ward.

It depends if GGG could take his straight right, Miranda couldn't.

Pavlik would punish GGG with that triple jab followed by the straight right. Pavlik was a bad man prior to the Hopkins loss and turning to alcohol.

Pavlik had really terrible footwork and was pretty slow, it is the reason why he lost to Hopkins. Golovkin has the better fundamentals, I think GGG would bust him up and stop him late.

Don't forget that Taylor had Pavlik out on his feet in Round 2, imagine what Golovkin would have done to him.

I don't disagree with anything you said. I jist feel that the Pavlik who marched down and beat the crap out of Miranda/Taylor was a very good and durable, hard punching champion. I think it would be an exceptional fight. Kelly even got drunk and went on facebook recently claiming he is seriously considering coming back and fighting GGG. Obviously that would not be a bright idea. Wish Kelly wasn't a drunk. As a fan its pretty dissappointing. Its his career and his life though

Ha ha ha, are you secretly Jack Loew? That is basically word for word the advice he gave Kelly between nearly every round of his career

This fantasy match-up has nearly been as done to death as Calzaghe vs Ward. The one they call Triple G starches Pavlik inside the championship rounds. Golovkin has an undeserved reputation by some as just a slugger, when he's so much more than that, one of the most complete fighters in the game today in my humble opinion. :deal:bbb:hi:
