:-( God, I hope not. Although if Golovkin beats Geale, Taylor's still a name that could bring him some attention in the US with casual fans, so it wouldn't really surprise me that much.
Actually, both guys that beat Pavlik utilized movement and are respectfully the best MW(Martinez) and most dominant MW of recent time(Hopkins though he beat Pavlik at 170'ish). Plus, as hard as GGG hits if he drops Pavlik that will only **** Kelly off and Kelly ko's him. Gennady is good but I think Prime Pavlik is all wrong for him and spells Pav ko.
Hell no Pavlik even in his prime as one dimensional as they come he was worse than Tito. GGG isn't Jermaine Taylor GGG gots skills and power he'd be countering Pavlik all night. He'd be on the verge of stopping Pavlik, but it'd be a clear UD12 for Golovkin. GGG UD12 over Uncle Fester Pavlik
Looking at this another way, I could see a prime Pavlik knocking out Proska just as fast as GGG. I want to see more of Proska because he has a flashy style I enjoy but I see him falling into Pavlik's range too often to avoid getting knocked out.
Pavlik woulda messed up Golovkins face badly just a matter if chin holds up, i still hope Pavlik goes down to 160
Some fighters are physically talented but not mentally strong. Some are mentally strong but lack talent. ggg is physically talented and mentally strong. He is a very determined and focused fighter. He is patient but takes full advantage of opportunities. The jury is still out on ggg but he does show signs of being the real thing. Pavlik (with any middle) always has a big chance to win by KO. Pavlik is a big puncher. It would be a very interesting fight at 160.
