I like Miguel Cotto, i think he is the best Welter out there at the moment, i am finding it hard to see past your analysis of this match up. I think Tszyu tags him early enough to do major damage on what i have seen of Cotto these past few years, he has been hit and wobbled /hurt by lessor fighters than KT so it's KO 6 win for Tszyu. The Tszyu of 1999/2000 would blast him!
at 140, Cotto was good, but still somewhat untested at the highest levels (like he has been now as a full-blown welter). At 140 i think Tszyu ko's Cotto in Tszyu-Hurtado like fight, at 147 it's a different ballgame with Cotto probably knocking out Tszyu in a good fight while it lasts.
yea there is to much going into this weight difference bewteen these two, if it was like a major difference bewteen them but it aint really much of a difference
Mosley can't box so he's out of the question ... Tszyu beat Judah who was undefeated and in his prime ... he also beat a good boxer in Sharmba Mitchell and proved that he can box as well as throw power punches. over 200 fights in his amateur background shows that he's seen plenty of styles and will be able to adjust to whatever those guys bring to the table. Tszyu had underrated defense and great head and shoulder movement ... Mosley avoided him all together and Cotto was too green to be mentioned in the same breath. I never heard of Tszyu fight at WW so that fight wouldn't have probably even happened. What makes Cotto so good at WW? Don't bring up Vince Phillips because i'm sure that at the time that Tszyu fought Phillips no one on Cotto or Mosley's resume hit harder than Cool Vince Phillips.
- Hard jab - Combination punching - Underrated speed - Smart, technical pressure - Versatile - Power - Improving defense - Ring smarts - Strong as hell for size and weight - Mental toughness - Has shown a solid chin at the new weight Need I say more?
KT = Never troubled by body punchers ... under-rated chin and had a beautiful left hook off the jab (one of the best you'll see) as well as the big right. Cotto isn't a constant in-your-face pressure fighter. He does pause before launching an attack and his defense isn't great. A leaky defense spells doom against Tszyu. KT wins by KO 140 and 147, easier than anyone here is suggesting.
Yea KT is a great boxer, if KT can keep cotto behind the jab then start moving in with a straight right which has very underestimated power, i remember Kosta tszyu destorying sharmba mitchell with more ease than mayweather did! he reads peoples styles to clever KT and i belive he could of read cotto and even knock him out!
Tszyu wins by KO at both weights. Cotto chin has always been questioned and still is now. **** Judah rocked a Prime Cotto twice and if Tszyu rocked Cotto just once that would be it because unlike JUdah Tszyu soon as he see's a weakness he goes in for the kill. Sorry but a Prime Tszyu would have no problem with Cotto and i feel even now Cotto might be the bigger more stronger man but Cotto gets caught all the time. And one thing i KNOW FOR SURE IF YOU GET CAUGHT BY ZOO ITS OVER FOR YOU.
Honestly though the fight would never have happened. Cotto's management is to smart for that. Dont get me wrong im a fan of Cotto but sometimes Cotto has way to many openings its just that there hasnt been anyone take advantage of them yet. I felt Mosley could have won had he pushed himself in the last 3 rounds more. And we all know Judah had Cotto in huge trouble but never had killer instinct to finish him off. I know Tszyu lost to Hatton but **** alot would at 36 years of age after two major surgury's.
