Prime Kostya Tszyu V Mayweather

He's just another poster who obsesses over and thinks of Mayweather every 12 minutes of their life. Don't expect anything rational or factual from him.

 

There was an interview back around end of 04-early 05. I do not have a link. But I have seen it and I have seen other posters have referred to it also. I believe I saw Scar once refer to it, and another poster named BoppaZoo who no longer posts here. In this interview Floyd was asked if they would ever fight Tszyu.
He said he would fight Tszyu when Tszyu was old like Roger was when they fought.

I don't have a link to the interview, but like I said other posters have seen it also.

Tszyu was asked if he would fight Floyd, and Kostya said he was open to the fight. But why do you guys say that Floyd was calling out Tszyu if Floyd knew the fight was impossible. Which is it, did Floyd call out Tszyu when he knew the fight was impossible, or did he do it because the fight was possible? You cannot have it both ways.

Except that this just shows that Floyd was calling out guys he had no intention of fighting, like I am saying. Put that together with Floyd's statement that he was happy to let Tszyu get old before they fought. It's embarrassing.

I'm not saying the fight was impossible. You are. Just like for years you've been saying the Pac fight was impossible, genius. I am saying Floyd never had any intention of fighting Tszyu.

And you really have no clue. I have never picked against Floyd in a fight, except for this one with Pac.

And on May 3rd, please don't make one of those stupid threads apologizing to the whole board, like you did with Broner. It's too pathetic. Please find a little dignity this time, even if you don't have any brains.

 

I stopped reading when the article said Scoop Malinowski a PBF hater with no credibility. Hell it might as well have been done by Boxing Master or You.

 

The difference between me, a real poster and trolls is that they have no credibility if I make a wrong pick I can admit that I was wrong and give the other guy and his fans their due and move on. Trolls can't and won't do this but would, rather come back with an alt or make ridiculous excuses never giving an ounce of credit.

The fight was impossible to make period no one is at fault here for the fight not happening not Zoo nor is PBF. I'm sick and tired of people saying PBF ducked Zoo when in fact they could have never fought. If that's the case you might as well and say Oscar and Mosley ducked him to.

Mayweather was signed to Top Rank Promotions. (Bob Arum) A fighter can call out whoever he wants, but the promoter is going to call the shots.

 

If Mayweather had fought Tszyu, Tszyy would today be considered one of his many "cherry pics".

By the way Tszyu was a one two puncher and would been Gattied by Mayweather.

 

It would be viewed as another "past prime cherry pick of an ancient semi retired fighter who had no stylistic chance."

Kostya Tszyu looked like he was going to have loads of trouble with Zab Judah until he landed that One-Two combination that sent "Super Judah" into Neverland. Tszyu was too slow and methodical to trouble a young Mayweather, flat foot, upright, with "no special effects" as Money Mayweather would say. Had the two of them fought I'd put my money on Money.
