Just got done watching Tszyu vs Judah and Tszyu vs Chavez. Tszyu was a killer with great technical boxing skills. Who would win this bout between him and Crawford?
Heck of a fight. I wish we'd have been able to see how Bud's chin would hold up to a bigger puncher....would've given me a better feeling on picking a favorite.
Similar outcome to the Zzzzzzzzzab Judah fight. Tszyu takes what Dud Crawford has got. Dud doesn't take what Tszyu's got.
I can easily just say that Zoo can't take what Crawford has based on the fact that he was stopped by a crack head in Phillips and quit on his stool against Hatton. Do you see how that works?
No because Crawford fights nothing like either of those fighters. Also both Hatton and Phillips had fought and beaten better fighters than Crawford at the time of the fight.
Crawford still writing his legacy, hard to tell. Once Crawford takes some heat and see how he responds, then I could guess. Another great mythical match-up.
Tszyu lost one fight between 1989 & 2005. That's one loss in 16 years sandwiched between a loss to the 1988 Olympic lightweight champion on points in 1989 (a fighter Tszyu also beat 4 times) and the Hatton stoppage in 2005. That's pretty good going for someone who fought all of his big fights on the opposite side of the world to where he was based. I doubt anyone has a record that good over the same period. Certainly no-one who had to travel like Tszyu did would have a record that good over such a long time span. As for his losses to Cool Vince & Hatton, both were wars of attrition. Your "quit on his stool" analogy is poor as well. He was non-responsive when asked if he was okay to continue (in English). The corner called it when he didn't answer. I've got my doubts Tszyu had a clue what anyone was saying at that point in the fight (especially in English).
The dude is a Horn fan boy and always refers to Crawford as Dud. He has no idea just another Aussie cheer leader who likes to claim Tszyu as Australian who can do no wrong. In saying that I think it would be a really good fight both have P4P elite skills and it would be hard to pick a winner but I would slightly favour Crawford.
For a HOF'er that's a true great in his division, Kostya is very beatable. I could see arguments for both sides. Need to see more of Crawford at 140 and/or against elites to ride with him, for me. Even if I do think stylistically Crawford has the edge and is suave enough to avoid serious trouble.
