We know the outcome of the past prime Lewis and his struggle with Vitali and we know both Lewis and Vlad have had there share of spills (Lewis was KO'd by one punch on 2 occasions) and (Vlad was dropped by Sanders and TKO'd and fizzled vs Brewster after a strong start.

I think Lewis was prime vs Tyson and Vlad looked to hit a peak vs Haye.

Could the speed and defense Vlad showed against Haye be used to get Vlad through the early rds and would Vlad's rocket rights and jabs be effective against the 6"5 but slower than Haye, Lewis?

Lewis showed some great examples of great offensive skills vs Botha,Golota and Grant but none had the speed of Vlad but Lewis also had his less than impressive fights Rahman, McCall and his struggle with Vitali past his best.

I know its easy to say Lewis KO in 2rds but look at Vlad's present defensive skills and improvement vs a Prime Lewis.

I can see a few scenarios...what are your thoughts, opinions on the possible outcome

    Lewis would win.

He was good enough on the outside to cancel out Wlads usual advantage here, but more importantly he was much better on the inside and much better in a scrap. This would be the decisive factor.

The fight would likley start out boring, with both fighters playing chess at range, and Wlad might even get the better of this game. Eventualy however Lewis would step up the pressure and force Wlad to trade with him as he did against most fighters who were a match for him on the outside.

Once it turns into an Irish brawl, Lewis's offensive capability, inside game, and willingness to take punishment, would prove decisive.

To me a great heavyweight has to be able to do things inside and outside and Lewis could where Wlad could not. Lewis knew how to take the fight to guys and exploit their weaknesses. It took Lewis 6 rounds to render Vitali pretty much helpless on the inside, I think it takes less time with Wlad. Sure Wlad could land something big, but I doubt it. I see Lewis doing to Wlad what he did to Vitali, only with less resistance.

Lewis told guys how to beat Wlad. He called Corrie Sanders a day before the fight and told him exactly what to do. I dont think he does any kind of boxing from the outside. He just takes it to Wlad from the opening bell like he did Vitali.

if i remember correctly, sanders didn't bring it to wlad,he was back-pedalling to the ropes, and caught wlad with a "lucky punch" and than went for a kill...he didn't star agressivelly and didn't press wlad from the beggining

Lennox was really good at destroying bigger men, Wlad is defensively better and has a better jab than anyone he's fought. The speed of the jab may see Wlad outbox Lennox early like the Bruno/Vitali fights but Lennox would be looking for the KO and would get it whenever he gets inside, it could be early, it may take as long as the mid rounds but you can bet it would come. Wlad would also be very uncomfortable whenever Lewis gets past his jab

The atmosphere would be electric to me. I think after feeling each other out in the first few rounds, Lewis finds that chin eventually. Lewis had a great outside game (I might venture to say that Wlad's is better) but he also knew how to mix it up on the inside, something that Wlad has yet to show he can handle.

    Bum,

It's not an easy call, man....... NO!! After all, V.K. is now 40 and has never looked better in stopping Solis inside 1 rd......

Lewis of 1999 prolly gets the nod, but I wouldn't bet on it.... Style and size wise, V.K. is always gonna be a nightmare for Lewis........

The fight of 2003 is classic and it will be spoken of and reviewd by fans long after you and I depart this dimension...

For the record, I rate Lewis #5 and V.K. at # 7 on my ATG top-10 list from 1887 to 2011...... Again, screw the overall resume.... I don't really care about that.... I like style, size, strength, power and the desire to hunt down some mutha'...

Head-2-Head, guys like "Lewis & V.K." are very scary dude's who can cause severe damage....

Lewis here........ Wlad cannot take Lewis' heat for 12 rds....... Wlad is game early on, but folds like a lawn chair around the 8th round...... LEWIS!

    That is the truth.

Whenever Lewis faced a guy his own size he threw caution to the wind and beat the snot out of them.

Lewis was an aggressive devastating machine against other Superheavyweights.

Watch Lewis brutally stop Ruddock, Akinwande, Golota, Briggs, Grant & Vitali...
