Likewise, I give certain fighters a decent chance

    Frazier/Ali/Tyson around 30%

    Yes, multiple choice

Yes, most COULD beat them. The point is, you vote for the ones you PICK to beat him. i.e. greater than 50/50 chance

The rest are plausible, but Foreman was far to crude and easy to hit Lewis would batter him with the jab and his right hand all day.

Foreman was not stronger, and not 1/5 as skilled. Lewis by TKO.

Ali has a decent chance, though I'd favor Lewis slightly. Tyson has a good chance. Liston, not so much. Smaller fighter, no edges really, in any aspect.

****s sake, I've cocked that up

I need a 'None' option, otherwise the posters that don't pick any to beat him don't have their vote registered and the figures are distorted

I dont think Lewis is as good H2H as some people think, I feel his resume and accomplishments during his career were done against fighters well past there primes, the fact that fighters like Mercer, who I feel beat him that night, Bruno, and even Briggs almost beat him in his prime, his chin would be exposed against most of the fighters you named in your thread. I must admit some of the fights would be 50/50, but because of Lewis' less than iron chin, he could be beat by any above average punching Heavyweight on any given night IMO.

Ali is faster, Lewis is bigger, stronger, and more powerful, with much more skill than someone like Foreman. Depends on what you like.

Foreman was plenty smaller than Lewis, and nowhere near as skilled. He had problems with boxers and jabbers. He really had problems with anyone who wouldn't come to him. Foreman is badly overrated in head to head terms.

I may need to think a bit longer about Liston before coming to any conclusions.

everyone on that list except holyfield and tyson can and would beat lummox lewis. he would create problems for some of them but they would be able to overcome him through sheer determination and grit

    from the list i voted:
    holmes
    frazier
    tyson
    foreman

being sympathetic to ali, i wanted to vote him too. but i would probably favor lewis 60/40 over ali. i think lewis length and jab would bother ali.

Tough picks on h2h matchups. I didn't vote in the poll because some of my choices are 50/50 at best, but I would give these guys the best chance of beating him:

    Frazier - 50% chance
    Tyson - 40%
    Foreman - 30%
    Ali - 30%
    Holmes - 25%

The numbers are starting to come together now

Nobody likes Dempsey or Marciano, as expected

I'm shocked so many people pick Foreman and Liston

lewis is a 'super heavy', and would be an overwhelming favorite over small guys dempsey, louis and marciano.

Prime Tyson has probably the best chance of anyone(along with Holmes) of beating Lennox. And dismissing Holyfield but keeping on guys like Marciano and Dempsey is quite foolish.
