My first post. Growing up watching Lennox Lewis, I'd say he would most likely win on points. I believe both champions to be tactical fighters and it to be retracted and slow like the AJ - Parker fight. Both fighters would appreciate the others KO power but LL has the natural boxing brain to land more scoring jabs than AJ. However I believe AJ could burst into life 8th or 9th round and KO Lewis if he works out a counter to his predictable jabs. Would be an interesting fight, I'd put money on LL points however, IMO LL would be a contender for greatest of all time up to this pointpoint, AJ could rival him for that in 4-5 years if he continues to develop as he is doing, but they both have strengths in different areas, we know AJ can be robotic but we also know he is smart and can figure out how to knock people out through a weakness in their defence. If he doesn't get knocked out first... (Which is why I think we'd need to see his chin tested more over the next few years...)
if wlad can set traps for joshua successfully with his narrow range of skills then you can bet lewis would work him out early.
LL is more skilled I think. AJ is getting better and better and is turning out to be a very smart boxer as well. I think he may retire undefeated and also a great himself.
LOL......if you go life and death with a shot glass chinned WK, even getting put on his azz in the process and the only reason he survived was because WK had zero gas left plus never ever had a killer instinct....you are going to sleep against Lennox.......AJ is stiff as a board and is a absolute sucker for the right hand...........guess whats Lemmies best punch ...lol...replay of the Grant fight, maybe a round or two longer.
Lol, went life and death with washed up, old men in Povetkin and Wlad, so now he beats a prime Lennox? Pfffff........... Prime Povetkin, Wlad and Lennox beat him no problem.
Probably Lewis. Similar in terms of size and power. But Lewis is more fluid, better footwork, more mobile etc... That said it's interesting, because Joshua should be coming into his prime and may only get better. Both definitely have the power to KO the other if they catch each other right. At the mo I'd price it 2/5 Lennox, 2/1 big Josh.
Prime for prime this is a great fight. I seriously doubt this fight would be a walkover for Lewis as some here are suggesting. Joshua has enough mass to prevent Lewis from manhandling him and enough power to keep Lewis humble. However, Lewis has a significant speed advantage over Joshua and, in my mind, he also possesses the superior ring IQ of the two. I believe that these advantages would eventually culminate in Lewis prevailing over Joshua during the latter half of the fight, albeit not without AJ earning his respect first.
