If I've gotta pick then add me to this!

People are getting far too excited far too soon on Haye. He's had 1 gift decision and 2 fights previously against a nobody and a fringe contender and all of a sudden he's the next ATG.:patsch

Yep, never got that either... There are even a few new HW's nowadays who already shown more potential than Haye and they still have to prove themselves also.
I guess it's just the state HW is in that makes boxing fans clamp onto every little spark of hope of an savior... It's like the old age with faith.

No disrespect Silvermags mate, but imo the only way David would upset Lennox is if he didn't wake up immediately after being laid out!!:).

You ask if maybe David could defeat Lennox if Lewis had one of his "Off" nights, but the thread is "Prime Lewis"! You can't be "Prime" on your "Off night"!!:). And to be honest mate I do not believe that David could have beat Lennox, even if Lewis had one of his "Off nights". And I am basing my assumption on what I have seen of David thus far. Notwithstanding the fact that David's personality would ensure that Lewis was "On" for their fight!! Lest we forget, that when Lewis was "On" he truly was an ATG and David is not an ATG heavyweight!

I respect your opinion, but I personally believe that there would never have been a trilogy!! Simply because the first fight would have ended so conclusively!!:).

David is great for British boxing and the heavyweight division and i'm a fan of his and I would love nothing more than to come back to this in a years time, having witnessed David lay out both Klitschkos, but I do not believe that he will beat either. And if he can't beat those guys, well, what more can I say?

Teeto mate, my pal "Met" Lewis and said that he was an arrogant *****, the worst of any boxer he has ever met. And David Haye really is a great lad!! I and loads of my friends have met him!! But it is in the ring that counts.

    P.S "Prime" Tyson-Vs-David !!! :yikes

Remember the Lewis vs Pineapple Head fight? Pineapple had very fast hands and could crack (a hell of a lot harder than Haye) and yet Lewis took those shots and beat down the Pineapple. Haye is nothing more than a British version of the Pineapple.

quotes from david haye: Haye, beaten just once in 23 fights, said: "I always aim for the best and Lennox is by far and away the best heavyweight Britain has produced. "I'll try to go out there and do a number on Valuev and the Klitschko brothers and hopefully some defences in the next couple of years. "I'm not sure I can compete with Lennox's legacy - he beat Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield. "As long as people mention me in the same breath as Lennox, I'll be happy. "It is about longevity and consistence. Greatness is attributed to people after they have retired and people look back and soak in their achievements."

Just saw your reply now. The thing is, i like Haye because he just came across as a genuine lad's lad. It was at the echo arena in Liverpool, and after the show he was just standing by the ring and anyone could walk over to him, so we were like give us a photo there David! We'd already gotten one with him earlier as well.

Now compare that to Lewis, he couldn't be a lad's lad in a million years. I understand he's morally right and all that, but boxing is the sport of the working class man and we like guys like Haye who just seem like they wanna get out after the fight and get some birds! But yeah, Lewis is on another level to him, and Tyson would knock him out, Haye would whack him though and wouldn't be scared i reckon.

Only a gift if you know absolutely f*ck all about boxing.

These two are my favourite fighters, along with Honeyghan and Benn, but Lewis was a genuine ATG. Haye is not far off being an all time great European boxer.

Haye would have a chance as he has the speed, power and fluidity that just hasn't been at the top level of heavies for a long, long time. But you'd always but always have to go with Lennox on this one.

I will only change my mind if Haye beats both Vitali and Wlad.

I'll change it from Lewis inside 5 to Lewis inside 7.
