I've always had a focussed Lewis as the hardest H2H match up for most other heavies in history - BUT the fact we don't have much evidence on how he coped with ANY southpaws - let alone an elite southpaw like Usyk is most definitely a factor to consider.

Would have been one for the ages for sure!

That's funny I always thought Lewis's career accomplishments were clearly impressive but h2h he's overrated: knocked out by Rahman and McCall and outboxed by Mercer, none of which are considered greats. Beat shot versions of Tyson and Holyfield and lesser fighters beat them more impressively around the same time.

Usyk would lose big on the cards if not get stopped in the late rounds. Lennox Lewis controlled distance better than any heavyweight in history and he would time Usyk with the jab before repositioning himself to avoid the lateral footwork of Oleksandr and go back to work. His power would decide Usyk's fate from that point on. Wide unanimous decision if we give the Ukrainian the benefit of the doubt and say he makes it to the end.

    Lewis didn't like southpaws.

    I think it's a 50/50 fight

Lewis wins this in surprisingly easy fashion.

PS - Southpaws lose, week in; week out.

The police would be leaving little yellow numbers next to Usyk's corpse.

I can not get my head around the fact that 28 people here think Usyk would beat Lewis.
    Lennox would destroy him

    Ok.

the closest thing to Usyk Lewis faced was a 37 year old Holyfield who was less than a year away from losing to John Ruiz.

The second fight was intensely competitive and while Lewis managed to edge Holyfield clearly, he lost 4-5 rounds and was badly staggered a few times.

Usyk, the Joshua version of Usyk, is quicker than that version of Holyfield, defensively smarter, can throw more punches, has a southpaw jab and a powerful southpaw left which Lewis never faced in his career.

Marovic was smaller than Usyk and managed to go the distance and even take 3 rounds off Lewis.

So Lewis couldn't destroy a past it Holyfield or Marovic but he will destroy Usyk?

Such threads are always speculative and we will never know . I respect usyk but i think he is a very weak undisputed champion . Very few hw fights , avoid fighting at all whenever you can and cherrypick opponents when you cannot avoid fighting to finally beat a declining fury in bad mental state for undisputed .

I believe usyk is not even close to holyfield and would not stand a chance against prime lennox .

In fact i believe no boxer of this era would stand a chance against prime lennox.

Lewis would destroy him. Lewis can probably box him on the outside; Lewis' boxing IQ is just as big, but if that doesn't work, Lewis had the ability to switch it up and turn it into a brawl. Usyk's weak body would not handle the punishment Lewis would deal in those mauling clinches.

It's called recent bias happens alot nowadays don't get me wrong Usyk is very good but he's also a bit overrated he hasn't won any of his Heavyweight fights easily so it seems strange to me people are so confident he beats a ATG Heavyweight.

Lewis is too big and too good. Lewis by KO. Lewis is much more coordinated and skilled than Joshua.
