I think this video clearly shows how Lewis would beat Rocky. Rock's a ducker and Lewis was always known for holding his opponent's head down and hitting, or hitting on the back of the head. :nod
but when Rock ducks under a punch, he moves inside very quickly, Lewis wouldn't have the range to stiffarm him
My point is that he was up at three and straight back to war. How anyone can call this anything but a flash is rather beyond me. Your point seems a rather obvious to me. You want me to find punhers that Marciano has traded with who are Tyson, Lewis and Liston's level that Marciano has traded with? WHAT? Which fighters have ever traded with three of the greatest composite punchers in the history of their division??? All of these men belong in a top five composite punchers list, and these are the men you want Marciano to "Trade" with to prove his chin? You don't want much, do you? No man, in the history of the sport has traded with multiple punchers that good. Literally nobody. Marciano is ubeaten in the HW division. He is a swarmer. I literally don't have to review footage to know that the man has an excellent chin. However I have reviewed footage and i've never seen him that hurt.
Lennox could well be the biggest puncher that Rocky ever fought, as well as the best tactician (I rate Lennox as a tactician higher than Louis, Louis had talent that Lennox didn't have, Lennox was an intellectual fighter) as well as the most lethal combination of skill and size that a guy like Marciano could go against. It's an easy win to Lennox.
marciano pound for pound must have been one of the strongest, most single minded and determined fighters ever, and with a mind numbing right hand to go with it.however i don't think he goes past 5 or 6 rounds against lewis.size of course does come into it.height, reach and strength, opponents often used to comment how physically strong lewis was but i think talent and ability would have something to do with it also and lewis had it in abundance..of course no doubt the rock took out some big heavyweights in his day of a similar size to lewis, but lets face it they they were no lennox lewis.
I think KCD needs to lay off the LCD, Marciano by Decision???? :rofl :rofl :rofl Marciano would be murdered, fight would end early if Lewis is aggressive. If Lewis fights like he fights Tyson then it might make the mid rounds. It's simply a matter of one great heavy fighting a much bigger great heavy. Marciano only fought a handful of guys over 200lbs, remember that.
Lewis was great at studying whats needed to win and implementing it. a real scholar. obviously the blockbuster could never be ruled out but Lewis by TKO 9 or thereabouts, size diff just enormous.
You're right Rocky was a great fighter, a great Cruiserweight fighter :deal And all those opponents you speak of, they were cruiserweights as well :good
Who the **** are you to slag the guys opinion of,your ****ing new yourself, calm down, its all fantasy and you cant disprove a thing he said. both men were ****ing great simple as that, for me id take lewis, but any ****ing idiot who thinks for a minute it would be easy is a fool, rocky was a vicious brutal boxing machine, and if lewis comes in as he did agaisnt vitali kilt overweight and not fully fit, rocky may well wear him down
Good fight here but most posters are seriously underrating Marciano in this thread and overrating Lewis. Posts about Lewis' size are the most common but people are failing to realize that Marciano would use that to his advantage. And Lewis would not go into this fight with an aggressive attitude, its way too dangerous against Marciano. He'd play it safe and stay defensive for the most part but I see Marciano getting through and slowing Lewis down to be stopped or possibly winning a decision if Lewis can hold on.
