Despite the height disparity they both had an 84 inch reach.

If Rahman and McCall could KO Lewis there's no reason to think Liston can't as well while the only KO on prime Liston's record was his shady loss to Ali via the "phantom punch."

I'll take Sonny by mid round KO.

Sonny Liston was a boxer and a deadly puncher, he was intimidating, he was a man of a few words. In his prime, he fought on with a busted jaw courtesy of Marty Marshall in 1954, losing on points. If you were Liston's opponent and you were tough, he could box you but if you were inferior you might be laying on the canvas hearing the full count of ten by the referee. Liston was stopped by Muhammad Ali in 1964 and was kayoed by Ali in 1965, then much later in Dec 1969 by Leotis Matin as Liston's career was coming to a close. Lennox Lewis has all the tools at his disposal, including height, and a punch but keep in mind, Lennox was stopped by both Hassim Rahman and Oliver Mc Call in his prime although he defeated both of them in rematches. I think that Liston boxes Lewis early, staying away from his power, then my mid fight Sonny tags Lewis clean on the chin to kayo him by round 9 after a rather tactical fight by both.

Agreed, as good as Lewis was he holds no advantage over Sonny in the jab department and Lennox will have difficulty landing his big punches fending off Sonny's jack hammer jab, Mid round ko is right about 8 or 9.

Lewis beats him like he stole something from him. Liston might beat an off-night or green Lewis. Prime Lewis > Liston

Power punchers are nothing new to Lewis

6'1 218lb Liston is too small for 6'5 245lb Lewis.

This is an extremely close fight but I think Lewis edges it with his ring smarts and earns a close decision.

It’s about the same height/weight difference as Usyk Vs Joshua. Plus Liston had a really long reach which evens things up.
