Peril - You can't have the 2 weeks notice argument as that goes both ways. They were both sheduled to fight that night. Yes Lewis was to blame for his poor conditioning but he still won the fight. I just think it's silly Klitschko fans can complain about the thread when they always make threads gloating about their bout. Surely you understand my point?

This is your second post with the enormously gay line, "Thread Closed." You really think your little opinion carries enough weight that people should stop debating and accept it because YOU HAVE SPOKEN?

Yes but why? Because 9 years on Klitschko fans are still posting threads about it in the main forum. All I've done is turn the tables for once and point out the obvious.

You have very selective vision. For every nonsensical fan-boy thread, there is a TK06 thread. Seems to me that losers post threads like this so they can say, "Hey everybody. Look how cool I am. I'm shitting on the Klitschkos. Can I be your friend, now?":barf

PJJ, I hate to correct my intellectual superior :D . . . but the Fanboys out number hater threads 3-1 at least. that doesn't include all the bumping that happens.

There are rabid fans for every fighter, I believe there was a guy at one point that was saying that Audley Harrison is going to be the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. However, In your quest to shame the particularly weak-minded fans of this one particular boxer you are also belittling the achievement that Vitali has on his record: He took a fight on 2 week notice against arguably the best heavyweight that ever lived. That took enormous balls, and I think both of us would agree that had Lewis not been the ring genius that he was and had he not cut Vitali, he would have lost that fight.
Also, please stop referring to Lewis as being in the worst shape of his life. 6 pounds are not going to make or break a 6'5 mountain of a man that Lennox was. As I've mentioned earlier, simply using the bathroom before the weight in would have made all the difference. I don't doubt that Lennox did not train THE HARDEST for the fight, but I strongly disagree that a man that was knocked out TWICE as a result of poor preparation would have made the same mistake for the third time and came in unprepared against such a powerful opponent. Lennox was way too smart for that, and riding the high of defeating Mike Tyson, so this seems highly improbable.

At best Lewis wins by decision, unless he injures Vitali again by cuts, that is the only way he gets a TKO. A lot of fools here claiming Lewis KO in this or that round forget that Vitali has never touched canvas in his whole career let alone been knocked out.

I'm pretty sure Corrie Sanders had him rocked and vitali actually put a glove down to hold himself up. Vitali was also knocked UNCONCIOUS by a british kickboxer named Pele Reid who weighed about 220lbs.

Vitali has a great chin, but a Prime lewis would be connecting with regular right hands the likes of which we have NEVER seen Vitali take. You know that uppercut Lewis landed that sagged Vitali? A prime lewis would have stepped back and followed up with a brutal 1-2 like the one which put Rahman out, Vitali would have been gone from that 3 punch combo, anyone would. Lewis was just too out of shape and gasses to capitalise on the openings.

Honestly, how many times do you see Vitali hit flush by the sort of no-hopers he fights?
