I always thought this was one of the most entertaining things about Lewis fights. He would consistantly come into fights too cool for school and underestimate his opponents. It cost him a couple of times but the rest of the times it happened it was entertaining. Watching him break out of his gameplan and improvise was always something to behold. His skillset ran the range from Pure boxer all the way to dirty inside specialist.

If I were a Heavy Champ I'd like to know that my bag of tricks was so deep I had something for every occasion.

    Great Champ

    (oops wrong thread)

Obviously Mavrovic did a hell of a lot better against a prime Lewis than Vitali did against a way past prime going into retirement Lewis. So is this thread is designed to slam either Lewis or Mavrovic it's failed miserably. All this thread has shown me is how much better a chin Mavrovic had than Wlad has. Cause there's not a hope in hell of Wlad getting hit the way Mavrovic did and him still going the distance. Vitali too would have been stopped on cuts long before the end of this fight had he been hit the way Lewis hit Mavrovic. Just goes to show you what a warrior Mavrovic truly was.

It is not uncommon for men who got beaten the living **** out of them by Lewis to resort to selling bread:

Here's another victim of Lennox's. I think he knocked this bum out in the amateurs. You guessed it, today he's just another bread-peddling street bum:

Makrovic was no such thing as a bum but a very active, aggressive and rangy boxer, just that he did't have a punch. Akiwande would have gone the distance had it not been for Mills Lane intervention. "Prime" Lennox Lewis was not really in his prime b4 he took on the likes of Holyfield and Tyson...

It should be pretty clear from watching it that even though he didn't get a lot of high-level exposure other than that one night that Zeljko was a smooth operator and highly effective heavyweight in h2h terms (whether people want to call it an "off night" for LL or not)
