Glass jawed Lennox ran away to retirement..... If anyone was not fully prepared it's Vitali... he was supposed to have a tune up on the under card and only stepped up because Johnson pulled out. Lennox had a full camp, and was prepared to defend his title. How was he not prepared? Klitschko detractors are full of ****. Also Lennox was not "fat" I don't think you guys know what a fat heavyweight looks like.

Yes Mavrovic was an unathletic fighter. He's body was so pathetic skinny-without
significant muscle mass- against Lewis. He looked like a boxing buffoon .
And this Lewis could beat Tyson or Holyfield...I think some ****ing parasites
    destroyed Tyson's and Holyfield's carrier.

Lewis-Klitschko did 4.5 million views on HBO. A rematch would have been huge, Lewis walked away from millions $$$ because he's a coward.

    'Health comes first' :lol::lol::lol:

What kind of moron walks away from 20+ million payday?

What the last 30 seconds of round 6 and say that again. Vitali caught an overhand right and was hanging on for dear life. Lewis was trying to get away from Vitali the octopus to finish him off and then managed to throw an upper cut in the last couple of seconds then the round ended. All three judges give the round to Lewis. Then the idiots on HBO started commenting on how tired Lewis was and how he sat down, which was moronic for three reasons.

    1. It was Vitali, not Lewis who was hanging on at the end.

    2. Lewis in his whole career was never stopped due to exhaustion and

    3. No heavyweight champ in the world ever lost because they were too exhausted to continue, with the possible
exception of Foreman, who was knocked out, partly due to exhaustion.

A rich moron with a wife and kids, and nothing more to prove. Obviously Lewis knew his best days were behind him and 20M might seem like a lot to you, but if you already have 100M you have all the money you're ever going to need. I don't know who would have won the rematch, but there's no doubt who won that fight.

Only newbies to the sport would think a stoppage on cuts isn't legitimate, especially when it came from a punch designed to cause damage. That's the whole essence of the sport.

It was actually said that this this was the first time that a heavyweight champion fought someone other then they were scheduled to fight in that time of short notice in recent memory. If you don't believe me google this and see for yourself. As for a Klitschko detractor, I'm neither a detractor or a fan, but I've been watching boxing for well over 40 years and I know a legitimate stoppage when I see one. The doctor at ringside said that was one of the worst cuts he's seen in 20 years, and since it was caused by a punch designed to cause damage, it's a legitimate win cause those are the rules of boxing. I will say this, Vitali fought a good hard fight, and if he had a little more something in the 2nd round he could have been the champion. And at the end of the day, Klitschko fans who can't accept the outcome of a fight that was over 10 years ago look rather pathetic, cause all the crying and screaming in the world isn't going to change the outcome of that fight.

Of course it's a legitimate win, but Lennox still should have rematched Vitali. He ran away with his tail in between his legs. He knew that Vitali had his number. Lennox is a coward......

Where to even begin. I would agree with you if:

    1. Lewis had fought others instead of Vitali

    2. Vitali had won the first fight, as there's absolutely no obligation to give
    the loser a second chance.

    3. Lewis was younger, historically most champions retire in their early
30's, Marciano, Frazier, Dempsey even Ali weren't fighting in their late
    30's.

    4. Lewis needed the money, (he didn't)

    5. Lewis would have had to have no respect for his mother who being a
single parent raised him, as it was ultimately her wish that he retire.

    6. Lewis also had his future wife's wishes to consider, and if you've ever
been married you'd know that wife's usually get what they want.

So when you factor all these variables into the mix, he was far from a coward, rather he was one of three heavyweight champions of the world who retired on top. That's something a "normal" boxing fan would commend not denigrate. Nobody needs more fighters who fight until they're permanently damaged in the sport of boxing.

Sort of agree with above. But Lewis held the title hostage for a long time before he actually left.

Lewis passed up on highly anticipated big money rematch because his mother, and wife wanted him to retire.

    You really believe that???? Lol........
