Sure thing. Pulev landed his best connect of the evening and nine seconds later, Wlad put him to sleep. (Of course, he might have been deeply stunned/doing a dance/wobbled etc when he KO'd the Bulgarian. :think)
Wlad got the better jab, left hook and balance/movement. But we are talking about a A+ jab vs an A jab. Lewis got the better body combinations, upper cuts, and he knows how to cheat more in clinches. Both great great power and average chins. Both got great resumes. Let's keep insults against both fighters down. They both have achieved far more than you or me.
I can't believe you have been posting on a forum since 2004. That's 10 years of hating isn't it? Record? Is there anyone who have a longer reign as a hater of a particular fighter than Widow Maker?
Fair hypothetical as both have been scrapped off the bottom of the boot. But assuming both are tops I've seen much more from Lewis on a deeper level vs Wlad today beating up guys who fight like they were just happy to win a reality TV contest. Wlad fights complacent and would shart his pants with tension. Lewis just has more tools a willingness to use them.
Lennox. Love Wlad-my favorite fighter-but Lewis at his best was a pretty damn good finisher with better punch variety inside and out. Wlad is in there with a decent shot though. But I'd go with Lennox.
I don't remember seeing Lewis use his left hook like Klitschko does. Lewis was big and heavy handed but Klitschko seems more mobile and better at cutting off the ring going left IMO.
Had the fight happened Lewis would have had Steward in his corner. Wlad would have been the same Wlad that was flattened by Puritty, Sanders and Brewster. No way that Wlad, who was a sitting duck after throwing a punch, beats Lewis. Prime for prime Wlad's more cautious style may see him last a round or 2 more before getting stopped. Lewis has a bigger reach and doesn't paw with his jab as much as Wlad. He'd be one of the few who could compete on the outside with Wlad. Even if Lewis does get out jabbed he showed in the Bruno, Mercer and Vitali fights he could switch it up and take the fight to his opponent and get the win. Wlad doesn't have the inside skills to do the same if he gets out boxed. Wlad basically only fights one way if an opponent takes the fight to him and that's to jab and clinch. That won't work with Lewis, he has the outside skills and size to compete on even terms. When Wlad clinches Lewis he isn't trying to out muscle a small 225lbs heavy like Povetkin but a man of equal size and strength. He'll be forced to fight in close which he doesn't have the tools or temperament to do. He'll get dominated here like Grant and Vitali was.
