Leonard wins this fight, bigger, stronger, faster and just better!! I think Mayweather is a Great fighter but come on SRL is an ATG. The guy was just amazing at this weight. By comparison can you imagine Mayweather moving up in weight and fighting and beating a fighter like Marvin Hagler?? No!

watch 2:09 onwards Leonard completely breaking down Floyd's defense. That's how you deal with the shoulder roll. Well placed body shots. Mixing the attack to the body and head. Just place Floyd in there, who's even smaller/shorter then Leonard and you get an even more brutal result.

Leonard hit harder, had a faster power combo and moved well. Leonard was more aggressive as well and went for the KO. If Floyd does anything better it would be safety first defensive fighting but we have never seen Floyd in with the likes of Roberto Duran or Tommy Hearns. I think all 3 would be too much for Floyd

Floyd vs Benitez would be a close match

See the worst part of this matchup you have to have some kind of mental edge with SRL,Duran made him mad and took him out of the fight and pinned him up against the ropes and hit him with hard shots,Hearns had him somewhat scared at 1st,and Duran was a busy to fisted fighter with good speed and power, that throws a lot of hard shots,Hearns long fast hard left jab, viscious body attack, and the huge righthand.I just dont think Mayweather has anything to make Ray respect him, with that being said,SRL will walk thru him,to fast to powerful,to viscious for Floyd.I dont like his chances against SRL.SRR.Hearns,Curry,Norris,and i think he would struggle against guys like Breland,McCroy,Simon Brown,Honeyghan,Cuevas,Prime Tito,or even a Aaron Pryor moving up,i just dont see him having the firepower to keep these guys off of him,he is much slower at WW,and he doesent punch with combo's which would be tough for him to beat any of these very good to great welters,he struggled bad with a past it ODH,I dont see him going past 6 with SRL,not enough power speed,or courage.

Yeah TBomb, those guys troubling Ray was nothing to do with their ATG abilities or anything. It was all psychological.

Due to weigh in times etc this is probably a fair match up in terms of size.

Nobody easily beats Mayweather. His style and ability mean that he'll make all fights relatively close.

Leonard would easily be the best fighter Floyd ever fought. Floyd would not be in the top 3 of Leonard's opponents.

I think Ray Leonard would win something like 10-5 in rounds. A comfortable decision in which Floyd has his moments.

In a way, this isn't even a fair thread. A prime version of one of the best welterweights of all time, against a guy whose best wasn't at welterweight, at 33, having started at 130. Leonard is as fast per single punch or faster, easily faster and stronger with combos, bigger, far better offensively and can easily take anything Mayweather can give him. There's very little to give Floyd in the sense of winning by decision or stoppage, and not much to give him in the sense of seeing the final bell. He's terrific with his defense but who has he fought even close to as offensively dangerous to SRL at any weight?

Not excatly what i meant, both Duran and Hearns troubled him,but Duran more so physchological,it was more fear with Hearns,He was pissed off against Duran,of course Duran and Hearns ATG abillities had something to do with it.Ray is kind of a bully, and i just dont see anything to keep the bully from taking Floyd lunch money

I could see Ray edging Floyd in a 12 rounder, but killing him in a 15th rounder, stopping him anywhere from 13-15.Too much killer instinct for the cocky youngster.

Ray would beat his ass, IMO. I know Floyd isn't his father, but damn did Ray put a beat down on Floyd, Sr. Floyd, Jr. hasn't fought anyone with that type of speed, power, skill, condition, chin, mental fortitude all combined. Leonard is on a completely different level.
