Prime Lewis Against Liston?

    Fair enough but I do still think this is 50/50 and there are things about each man that the other would struggle with.

    Yep I agree, this would be one of Lewis s harder fights.
    I'm don't underestimate sonny Liston.

    60% favouritism for Liston sounds about right. I find Lewis a good deal over-rated nowadays, but he certainly could win this fight, & would probably win at least one in a trilogy.

    Everyone is imagining Lewis cautiously boxing & Liston being the aggressor, which is certainly very plausible as Lewis is in there with an ATG & took the caution route vs Tua & washed up Tyson - but can I posit the idea Lewis may do what he did with several strong, hard-hitting guys, & rush Liston for an early KO?

    I don’t think he would, but it’s not unheard of. It’s a hard fight to visualise at any rate. Lewis was competitively jabbed with by far lesser left hands but Liston never fought anyone this big, let alone this good. Then you factor in Lewis’ chin & Liston’s frustration with boxers…anything could happen but I slightly favour The Night Train to run over The Lion.
