Exactly this. I like Haye, but Lewis was on a whole other level, and boxed in the division when there was competition from all angles and not just a couple of webbed feet, inbred, russian meatheads!!
Dont be silly, Haye is elusive to last longer than that. Wlad could barely land a decent shot on Haye all fight. Although he is much more conservatice he also arguable has the better footwork. If Haye goes into survival mode, which he would, he would last a few rounds.
Maybe so, but it doesn't say much for Haye that the best we could hope for is Haye to go into his shell and 'survive' a few rounds. It just goes to show what a huge gap Lewis left when he retired. David Haye is arguably the best heavyweight this country has had since Lennox left the game; yet by all accounts he doesn't seem fit to even carry his jock-strap (Holmes/Marciano ).
The only questionable aspect of this matchup is how well Lennox would stand up to a tripod. Anything else is a foregone conclusion.
Exactly... in this fight punches would actually be thrown to cause harm... not to just keep Haye away
Lennox is more intelligent, has more variety and is more athletically gifted than Wlad. Haye gets taken out very early.
Haye would be absolutely destroyed by Lewis. I honestly think Lewis could do him in one round. Haye as a heavyweight has bitched out on so many occasions, against poor opposition by historical standards (barr maybe vlad). Lennox would take punches to land his own, has a quality jab, and power in his right hand, which he would land, like haye has never felt before. Total mis match IMO
