I'm not even from England you piece of ****

And I'm not in love with him either. Lewis would TKO Vitali if he was prime or not prime. I'm sure of this.
Lewis, not that good? well for one he's beat much better competition then Vitali and he actually fought some future/former HOF material. Vitali has one of the weakest title reigns I've ever seen. At least Lewis fought some good fighters.

Both fighters were under prepared because they were supposed to fight different opponents.

Are you really that stupid? If so, please change your avatar since avatars of the Great Joe Louis should only be worn by good posters.

    Fair enough.

Funny how I'm branded a Klithugger for merely stating that I think either Klitschko vs. Lewis would be a close fight. :-(

I am a Lewis fan and I have been since I saw him destroy Razor Ruddock and chase away Bowe..................y'know, back when most boxing fans weren't giving Lennox his due and saying Tyson would beat him, etc.

To this day I rank Lewis in my top 5 Heavyweights and head to head I consider him a tall order for any Heavyweight in history. Makes me laugh to hear these idiots claiming Foreman would walk through Lewis................Big George himself said he wanted no part of Lewis.

The facts are that Vitali won the first few rounds then Lewis took over - The last 2 rounds were won by Lewis.
And considering over 6 rounds Lewis cut Vitali in 3 different places - It seems clear to me that when Lewis connects he is goings tear apart Vitalis baby soft girly skin.
    Lewis was 38
Boxing is about winning under tremendous pressure - no doubt in the twilight of his career Vitali was one of the best opponents Lennox fought...difficult for any version of lewis...but he had the ability to find a way to win, where as Vitali found a way to lose, like he did to Byrd...Even Audley Harrison would have continued if he was in the same position as Vitali against Byrd and I bet a hell of a lot of other heavyweights would have carried on too!

How do you think a 38 year old Vitali would have done against the younger version of himself?

Not really. Vitali was still moving so Lewis obviously didn't have a good grasp. And are you really calling Lewis dirty..?

How is he the better fighter? Lewis was wearing down Vitali and WON the fight.
I can't win? lol well too bad Lewis is the one with the victory and Vitali is the one that's butt hurt that he got stopped like that.
And no, I'm not canadian or british, I'm american, Lewis was a great fighter and of course much better then vitali

Shannon Briggs also had some early success against Lewis too right?

Why don't you tell the whole story? Because it doesn't fit your argument? :rofl

There was a point in the first couple of rounds where Shannon lands & LL turns his back & runs away.................I don't recall Vitali turning & running at any point during his fight against Briggs.

Vitali also had some early success with Lewis - But like the Briggs fight Lewis turned it around and won inside the distance.

    I didn't say that he didn't.
Yeah, he unloaded on Lewis and had success, although a lot of them were blocked.

Yeah... Well, once again, Lewis knocked briggs out, Vitali couldn't. Vitali faced a SHOT briggs. Lewis faced a prime conditioned briggs. Just look at the weight and body difference. Briggs was so much better against Lewis. Yet Lewis still stopped him.

    Exactly!
It's like if Lewis has some trouble with Vitali then it must mean he's better. Lewis has been behind and outboxed before like in the Bruno fight, or survive an early onslaught in the Grant fight. Then he came back to win both of them. Just like the Vitali fight :patsch

Yeah the pattern is - If you cant take out Lewis early then you are gonna lose - Which Vitali did.
