Mike Tyson was a broken down shell of a once great fighter, explaining why Lewis looked so impressive against him, but the fact is, they were BOTH past prime. In addition, Lewis took a full 12 months off after fighting Tyson, only to return a year later, at nearly 38 years of age, and at a career high weight. To say that this was the same guy who utterly destroyed Shannon Briggs, Andrew Golata and Michael Grant in the late 90's is crazy.

Cut happen in boxing, sure, but relying on a cut and then hoping its bad enough to force a stoppage isn't exactly a great strategy. I don't see Lewis getting a TKO without a cut.

Well the only thing I conceded was that you were to dense to have an intelligent debate about boxing..and you're welcome.

He may cut Vitali he may not..but that's not really the point, the bigger point is I think he wins either on points or by TKO. I think had the fight continued, Lewis would have likely stopped Vitali by TKO and had they fought in their respective primes this is a likely outcome. Probably the most likely outcome actually.

I think Vitali would still get to the mid-latter stages. But Wlad would be KO'd in about 4 rounds.

I can easily see Lewis winning on points, sure, but I can just as easily see Vitali taking it by points or even stoppage given how Lewis has shown he can be stopped. It's not a cut and dry case that Lewis is going to dominate VK, VK matches up extremely well with him.

Can't really argue with that, and in fact I think V.K. would give many perhaps even all ATG's a run for their money, but I do think Lewis was more fluid, and had better skills more power and more ring smarts then V.K. That said, V.K. could have possibly caught him with something like what happened when they actually fought, and I imagine if V.K. had followed up with what he did, he very well could have KO'd Lewis. But if I recall correctly, I think Lewis primarly used his jab to keep V.K. off him. Of all the Lewis fights, this fight was probably his best in terms of jabbing with power. He literally stopped V.K. in his tracks a few times with his jab.
