He's much better than Michael Grant, he's better than Mavrovic too, but he's not as tough as him. He's better than a lot of fighters but he can't take a punch like they can.
I have to say, the Wlad-hate has become very watered down lately. It used to be that we had a few professionals that came in and got everyone riled up with well concealed trolling. There's just too many posters spouting ridiculous shite now, it's mind numbing, and it's destroying the balance of fair posters, nuthuggers, and haters.
It's probably closer to the truth to say we've both been around here too long and we've seen it all and heard it all before mate Got to admit it's boring even to me now, I can't think of a single mythical matchup that hasn't been done to death for either WALDO or VITLAY. Lewis KO inside 2 rounds all the same, just like Golota and Grant, who was better than WALDO and Lewis destroyed him with uppercuts. He also never held once in the entire fight :happy
And what if Wlado hit the first powerpunch of the fight and Lewis took a dive? Impossible right? The geniuses here make it sound like Lewis would win 10 out of 10 fights prime for prime against Waldo. He wouldn't. He'd win 6 or 7. And lose 3 or 4. Lewis had enough sub-par fights as to give Wlado a pretty decent chance at winning a fight between the two.
Thanks for showing these amateurs how it's done. I think you have a point about the fantasy matches being done to death, I'll give some thought to a match that hasn't been done yet, maybe it will spark some fresh discussion.
If you really want to start a new flame war, try WALDO V Chuck Wepner :rofl:rofl:rofl Someone else mentioned it the other day....I thought about it but no-one would respond to me if I started that thread, can't think why :rasta
Lewis by brutal Ko. Far too good for Wlad and his jab. Lennox would match that jab and penetrate the guard of the Ukranian. Wlad can't take the bombs of Lennox and would be out within 3 rounds.
The point of the match up is that it's 'prime for prime', which leaves no chance of Lewis having a 'sub-par' fight. Lewis' best is far superior to Wlad's best, simple as that.
No, I just don't see it happening. Lewis would come out aggressively like he always did against big men and Wlad would **** himself like he always does when someone goes for him.
It's not that Wlad couldn't win, it's just that I would put his chances in the 30-40% range. Meaning it's highly unlikely. I think Lewis takes a punch much better than Wlad so even if Wlad connects, no guarantee Lewis goes down. He was down twice. Once from a punch he didn't see cause he too was throwing a punch, and it's the punches you don't see that cause the damage. And secondly when he wan't climitized to the altitude. So it's not as if anyone landing against him automatically put him down. Tua landed numerous flush shots against Lewis and never dropped him. Against Briggs he dropped his hands and allowed Briggs to take his best shot and came back and decked him. I could never imagine Wlad doing that. (Not that any boxer should)
30-40% is not "highly unlikely". I don't think we're very far away in our opinion. I said out of 10 matches, Wlad would win 3-4. Lewis wins 6-7. What just bothers me is that some analysis (of others) sounds like there is no doubt in hell that Lewis would blow away Wlad on every night, 10 out of 10. Lewis has bad days as well, sometimes he was lethargic and gave away rounds for no reason, even in his prime. I am not even talking about those lucky shots Rahman and McCall landed, getting hit with lucky punches doesn't take away from Lewis' boxing ability. Boxing like any competitive sport also depends on one's daily performance ability and that little dose of luck -- even if somebody is in his prime it still means some nights are just not as good as others.
So you are saying that flash knockdown hurt Wlad? why did he get up and dominate the rest of the round. Please... He wasn't even close to being hurt.
Lewis jumped on fighters he considered mentally less than stable (Golota, Grant, ...). I think he'd knock Klitschko out in less than five rounds, probably in the first three.
Yet he didn't know how to knock out a mentally impaired, crying, help-less, head-shaking and defense-less McCall :huh
