Bailed out? Wlad won every second of that fight except for that one off balance knockdown that Wlad only touched his knee for a half second on. Wlad even came back in that round by completely dominating TOS who was running for his life. Wlad has been down..... so what? And his big heart kept picking him back up too. According to you guys, Wlad goes down everytime that he gets hit... so I guess he has only been hit 11 times in his entire career. Not too bad. Especially considering that it wasn't even a Prime Wlad.
It's amazing how many MUCH MUCH MUCH lesser fighters have even gone the distance with Lewis then... eh?
He doesn't go down every time he's been hit but he certainly goes down more than Lewis ever did. The big difference in a fight between them is Lewis would likely make it an inside fight and simply overwhelm Wlad who has essentially no inside fighting abilities. I have nothing against Wlad but that's a pretty obvious observation to most of us. Whether or not Wlad has a better jab or a better left hook or right cross, isn't going to matter much, because Lewis is very good at going after a fighters weakness and again Wlad, he's going on the inside and he's using his uppercut to knock Wlad out!!
This is what happens when a nation of 60 millions only has one great boxer to talk about. Lewis has been in serious trouble in many fights in his career (Briggs, Mercer, Bruno, Klitschko, Tua etc.) and KOd twice by average boxers yet Brits still think he is unstoppable and invincible because he beat an ancient version of Holyfield , a shot Tyson and KOd Golota in 1 round. The funny thing is Lewis is Canadian as well but shhh don't mention that...
Well I'm Canadian and yes, we'll gladly claim him as one of our own. Same way we did with Ben Johnson until he tested positive for steriods, then he became a Jamican ..lol I'm a Lewis fan but I like to be objective and to me the McCall stoppage was fine. Some ref's might have allowed it to continue but I wouldn't call it a quick stoppage. Essentially it was a judgement call. But being KO'd only twice means he was only two punches away from having an undefeated career, which to me is pretty damn good.
How exactly would Lewis "make" Wlad fight him on the inside? Wlad has better movement and footwork... and a great jab. I really don't see how Lewis could force Wlad to fight inside.
Judgement call? :nono Lewis was all over the place even when he held the gloves up to show that he was ok. Lewis was completely out of it after that shot.
what a F... Thread here Lennox Would eat This ***** in 3 Rounds no doubt who is wladimir he is one of the Boring Boxer of all Times , Only jab jab and the Right and Clinch that is all omg atsch Lennox would knock him out no Doubt
it'd be good, but lewis would by ko. wlad had better skills and better one punch ko power than vitali, but an aggressive lewis drops him bad. wlad gets very much on the defense after getting tagged, while vitali gets more aggressive, which is why he had a great fight vs. lewis. wlad fights smart, but i think vitali fights alittle more with heart and instinct. he already proved he has heart with his fight with lewis after his bad showing vs. chris byrd
Vlad is a great technical boxer, but he can't fight. He'd have to fight against Lewis because Lennox would ugly it up like the way he did other tall fighters. Vlad would not hold up. Clinching a short fighter that you have 6'' on like Peter is much easier than trying to clinch a guy that's his own size. Lewis TKO inside of 4.
Yes, it was a judgement call in that some ref's would have allowed him to continue. I'm arguing that it wasn't a quick stoppage because it was a judgement call, and this particular ref decided to stop the fight. Holmes was in a similar situation and the judge let him continue and he won the fight, so yes, it's a judgement call. But personally I think it was the right call, and if he did allow Lewis to continue that Lewis would have been ko'd
Did Sanders have better footwork than Wlad, and did it matter? No because he went after him and Wlad couldn't avoid his punches, simple as that. There's no point in elaborating cause you've already made up your mind that Wlad would win, but thankfully those who have seen both fighter fight view that as a very unlikely scenario. In fact how many people on this thread have sided with you? Anyone? Doesn't that tell you something, that perhaps your extremely biased for example?
