Yes I always thought that. You see what a older Lewis did to the better Klitschko. Sanders showed us what happens to Wlad when he is hit by a power puncher. And lets face it Rahman took Sanders best shots and still won. Wlad didn't even make it 2 rounds. So that means Rahman had a better chin as sad as that is. Wlad vs. Lewis would look like Grant vs. Lewis. Steward is what saved Wlad when he taught him how to fight like a coward. Lewis would stop Wlad with in two rounds with ease.

Some are saying Wlad couldn't take Lewis' best shots, maybe so... But the same can be said about Lennox, no way he takes a flush right hand to the chin from Wlad. If Rahman and McCall can knock out Lewis so can Wlad..... For me this is a 50/50 fight, both are ATG heavyweights who went through some rough patches in their careers and had a rebuilding process.

Let me just ask this. Why do you suppose Lewis felt the need to call Sanders and urge him to rush Wlad and put pressure on him?? I mean Lewis and Sanders weren't buddies or anything. If Wlad would have been such easy work, why the f**k didn't Lewis HOPE he beat Sanders so he could GIVE HIM THE GRANT TREATMENT! And get paid an insane payday.

Maybe because Lewis may have been just as concerned as his own coach, Manny Steward:think Steward said many times back in the day that Wlad was the one he was most concerned with. Not so much Vitali. But what did Steward know right. Lewis knew Sanders was a VERY dangerous fighter for the first 4-5 rounds. He was a southpaw. AND his hands were freakishly fast for a heavyweight. Perfect for a kamikaze type mission. "Corrie takes care of Wlad and he's outta the picture. Then fight Vitali and I'm done." Wasn't as easy as he thought though was it:yep

Wlad knocks Lewis out. Lewis's chin will not hold up against Wlad's right hand.

Hey just stating facts. Wladimir Klitschko would be a threat to ANYONE in history. This "Ohh easy work for Lennox!" **** is nonsense. Lewis would be up against a fast, powerful, 6'6" 245lb skillful boxer. I'm sure he was VERY happy Sanders got through and did something that in all honesty, shouldn't have happened. But with a lefty with a nothing to lose attitude, fast hands and powerful, it can.

Corrie Sanders was one of my favorite heavyweights, it's a shame he was not allowed to fight in the Olympics, he would have won gold...............Lewis said that he avoided Sanders, knew how really good he could be when in shape, and Corrie had been training for several months, he was to fight Valouev in South Africa. Then Kohl picked Sanders, this was right after Vlad stopped a prime McCline. Vlad did not train much for that fight, he did no sparring with a southpaw, used to not spar much at all anyway. It was a real let down as he wanted to fight a top level fighter, well, I warned Kohl, a member of Klitschko's Team, at the time, etc., they had never even seen Sanders fight..........Sanders was a huge waste of talent...........however, Vlad tried to get a rematch, but Sanders would not give it to him, later on he did fight Vitali, and Vitali beat the living hell out of him............Rahman knocked Lewis out cold, not a TKO, but a KO, McCall TKO'd Lewis, Yet I do not read or heard anyone talking about Lewis having a glass jaw...........the punches Vlad took while cold, nobody could have taken those punches, and Lewis knows he could not either, thus, Lewis ducked Sanders for years because he knew how good he could be...........after Steward started training Vlad, he had Vlad to watch other fights and to spar a lot, did a few adjustments in Vlad's balance, which was not that bad in the first place, and did a lot for his defense. Vlad's foot work is superior to Lewis' who was somewhat club footed. Vlad fights a lot like Lewis did, as they were both trained by Steward, who helped them both................Vlad had more natural talent, better balance, better jab, better stamina, which only gave him problems way back when he first started fighting pro, in the Puritty fight, 11th round, but it was Vlad's corner who stopped the fight, he could have gone on and won, but why take the punches? Again, Puritty fight had nothing to do with Vlad's chin. The Brewster fight had nothing to do with Vlad's chin either, there was an outside influence, but Vlad was not a US citizen, he tried to get the investigation, but the America media hated his guts, along with Vitali's.............and yes, there was an FBI investigation into fight fixing in Vegas at the time, not to mention all the other crap that went one, such as two samples of urine/blood that were destroyed, why high blood sugar, enough to concern the doctors about Vlad going into a diabetic coma? Why did the boxing commissioner Mark Ratner resign? Why the missing ID? Read the Judd letter, it is legit..............

A prime Lewis Ko's Vlad in about 6 rounds without too much drama. They're different levels of fighters, these two

Farmboxer....after all these years your love of everything Klitschko is astounding. They never lost a fight because the opponent was the better fighter on the night (or a better fighter period), did they?

    you can't say that
if the rules were different that would've been true, but as it stood the stoppage was clearly a good decision

The ref blew the call that would have given Vitali the victory. How is that a good decision?

to me it's a moot point
vitali arrived on the HW scene that day, regardless of the decision

i'm curious to hear what your views are about other german-based/german fighters who never take fights like vitali did this day, yet walk around with belts....
