So White Bomber finally got back his alt to like his own posts? The forum was much better in absence of monneytheman...
That's quite an unusually strong opinion, albeit not unexpected. Could you talk us through how it happens? Detail beyond dates of birth and respective weights will be considered.
The Bomber wins the battle of the homophones. Pre-emptive strike - NO Mr Money, I’m not bringing orientation into the argument lest you reply “What’s that got to do with anything, you trolling idiuts?” Stealing from Matt D’s clever post, there can be only one Louis sounding Louis - and that is Joe Louis, as poor John Henry found out good and proper. Back then, Joe also sought out Jerry who not only managed to run but also hide behind Dean who Joe had no beef with and actually liked, so Joe just left it and walked away. Next up….Huey Lewis…and The News if he wants to bring some “back up” - but it ain’t going to help him anyway…..he only has the power of love and nothing else…
Lewis was one-shotted twice, and you think Louis stands no chance? Have you actually watched film of Louis? When he landed a good shot, it landed like a nuke.
Lennox Lewis brutal KO. None of the big men Louis faced could properly jab, yet still gave him trouble. Lewis was a dimension above Baer, Simon and Carnera.
Lennox Lewis R8 KO. Way too big and rangy, great jab and can change it up, powerful, great uppercuts on the inside and hes like 230 or 240. Louis no path to victory. Lewis is better everywhere with more power
Fair enough - well, I didn't see Joe in a huge amount of trouble in any of those fights but if you say so - but you could easily say Louis was a dimension above Frank Bruno, Ray Mercer (he was also bigger. Ray was competing at 201lbs aged 27 at the Seoul Olympics.) and the 37 year old Holyfield (again much naturally smaller than Joe) who all gave Lennox a very tough time. I won't mention Zeljko Mavrovic. Joe was also several dimensions above Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman too. There are quite a few nights spread over the course of Lennox's career where, if you were to substitute Joe for Lewis' opponent, an already difficult night might have been a whole lot worse. And would it be a brutal kayo? Joe was only ever kayoed twice; once after a sustained beating at an age at which Lennox had yet to turn pro and once at the age Holyfield was in the rematch with Lennox. Out of the two guys, Lennox, not Joe, has the track record for being brutally knocked out and he managed it while in his prime against far lesser fighters than Schmeling and Marciano. I would personally favour Lennox if I had to bet on it but I would do so with a far lesser degree of certainty than you're showing.
