Zhang has a marquee win while Ortiz doesn't.

Sadly no one saw Ortiz prime as it occurred in the late 1700's

i could definitely see Ortiz pull this off. He's a very sharp puncher and I don't think he's lost many rounds of boxing in his career, especially in his prime. He's only been stopped by Wilder's freakish power. Oritz has the stamina to go 12 hard rounds and is hard to outbox. He has much faster hands and feet than Zhang and has been effective at getting to larger, rangier guys. Zhang could possibly tire him out and wear him down for a late stoppage, but if Ortiz opened as a decent underdog, i'd have a bet on him for sure.

Zhang beat Joyce but Joyce's former trainer Abel Sanchez (who clearly has more sense than Joyce's current team, or at least had Joyce's best interests in mind) stated that he refused a fight with a 40+, post-Wilder 1 Ortiz:

Povetkin's promoter said that he didn't want any part of Ortiz for Povetkin in 2014:

    https://www.rbth.com/sport/2014/04/...itschko_rematch_continue_to_recede_35827.html

And this is no doubt the tip of the iceberg when it comes to ducks. Chisora and Takam will fight anyone if the money is right but Chisora has openly said multiple times that he doesn't want to fight Ortiz and Takam pulled out of a scheduled fight with Ortiz to fight Duhaupas instead, which also didn't happen.

Then there are the situations surrounding Joshua in 2017 and Whyte in 2018, which seem rife with skulduggery. Rival promoter Hearn admitted two years ago that "no one wants to fight Ortiz": a 42 year old Ortiz with 2 KO defeats. Andy Ruiz tried to duck him at 43 to fight a former kickboxer in Mexico instead.

So there's no question that Ortiz was considered a bigger threat by people in the industry who should know, as well as by other fighters.

Zhang starts sucking wind after 5. Fight could end up being one big hug fest after the 6th. LOL

I lean on Ortiz, he faced better opposition and won.

Oh please chisora sounds like a dying walrus after 4 rounds and people are constantly praising his engine and ability to go 12 hard rounds.

We know Ortiz can go 12 hard rounds with a top contender because he's done it several times in his career including most recently with Ruiz despite being well past prime

It's not the version of Zhang who had a life and death with 6-2 Juan Goode.

Joyce was 7-0 at the time of that interview to be fair..and Abel also says in that interview, they'd like two more fights before Ortiz.

Ortiz was ducked for sure, but I don't think Joyce was ducking him

I would kind of favor Zhang, I like his style better than Ortiz's, I think Zhang would stop him before the final bell...
