There is no style in the world nightmare for Floyd as long as he runs, holds, and hugs.

I agree, for the most part. i think this would be a razor thin close fight. The type that would warrant a rematch or possibly a trilogy. The type that fans would debate for years [emoji38] Put it this way, if chavez and floyd met in their undefeated primes at 130/135 they would split a trilogy. They would be that close and exciting imo.

Arguello was a savage on both the inside and outside. A great combo puncher, body puncher and good variety of offense as well.

Most of all though, his timing and accuracy was excellent. Equal to floyd in that regard, except with 1 punch, fight stopping power as well. It would be an intense, violent chess match with fireworks from both guys. Both would be shining with combos in this fight.

Floyd could defintely win though. You cant really count him out. When the going gets tough, Floyd is able to change his gameplan, adapt and win fights, no matter the opponent or the style. Plus, Arguello was vulnerable to being outboxed. Olivares did this in spots. Vilomar and Ramirez flat out DID outpoint him imo. Mancini had success outboxing him before getting caught; i have to think that floyd is a tough style match up for Arguello and would likely figure him out to take a decision. Tough fight though, one that arguello could change at any point.

A defensive style is always worse for someone like Barrera to look good against, especially when this defensive fighter has exceptional speed, movement and activity. Mayweather wasn't exactly what you are seeing recently at the lower weights. He was far more active and regularly committed to his punches rather than purely land to score points. Mayweather was also a counter puncher and a vicious one.

Barrera poses zero problem for Floyd. Floyd got Barrera outgunned very badly here. I don't think Barrera can do a single thing better than Floyd and Barrera used to be one of my faves.

They don't even try to fake it. It's like every bumpkin thinks. "What I know is what applies, all the realities/facts that I don't know about mean nothing because I don't know about them.".

Believe me I saw Floyd at 130. I just think MAB has a shot to beat him and I think he would.

Remember we're talking about a guy who put an absolute beatdown on Hamed. And took two of three from Morales. And he beat those guys are their peaks.

I think Floyd gets overrated big time with his win over Chico, a great puncher, and for beating Oscar's leftovers, the past his prime Chicanito Hernandez, who actually gave Floyd a better fight than Chico and dropped Floyd by getting him off balance. I'm sorry, but Chico was a level below the Mini Fab 4 of Morales, Pacquiao, Barrera, and Marquez, even the 130lb versions. No way would Floyd handle them at 130 like he did Jesus Chavez or Chico. At that weight, they all would give him much tougher fights than Chico. He was much more offensive minded back then, he didn't have the experience he does now and potshot his way to victory. Morales in his prime whipped Floyd in his prime, that's why Floyd never called out El Terrible, but he always called out Prince Naz.

Hamed and Morales can not compare to Mayweather..They were smaller, not as fast, less defense and just not on Mayweathers level especially Hamed. Floyd is to damn big, strong and slick for Barrera, you should realize that after the Jmm,and Pacquiao fights

Hamed and especially Morales are far greater fighters than anything Floyd's ever fought. Old DLH and Old Pac aren't in the same class.

tinman, pretty much everything you are saying here is factually wrong. MAB would literally have not one single advantage over Floyd. I cant think of anything he does better. There is no way in hell that MAB was physically stronger then Mayweather. How can you watch them both and come up with that? Floyd is bigger, faster, stronger, a better pure boxer, better defense, IQ, etc....

Even if MAB were stronger, he's not a bully top fighter. He doesn't impose his strength on you. Is your whole thing about a left hook to the body? Its like you were wondering who had the best hooks to the body, thought of MAB, and named him as a stylistic matchup when its really the other way around. Floyd is a horrible matchup for him.

As a pressure fighter he was lit up by Junior Jones. In most of the years you are speaking of, MAB become much more tactical. He was much more of a pure boxer which is the worst way to beat Floyd. He would fight him like Canelo or JMM. It would be horrible for him. I just don't see how you can watch them both at 130 and think that he gives Floyd problems or is stronger.

Guy never even hit the canvas but you pick a smaller man to not only beat him but to stop him

not to mention floyds body is iron... seriously people can doubt his chin all they want but that mans body takes some serious punishment and he smiles at it

jump in the ring and shoulder roll some right hands, ill tell you right now your shoulder is going to be ****ING SORE in a round.. i quickly learnt the beauty behind the shoulder roll is you have to counter off with it to take away their right hands and make them less committed to punches so they dont have the sting
