Huge fan of Beterbiev, but this is a really tough assignment. Briedis is a top 3 Cruiserweight of all time.

    David Price beat Fury.

Briedis has a steel chin, size and a great punch. Beterbiev is not going to beat him on points, and he is certainly not stopping him.

Yeah, So ? **** fraud Fury. Why are you even mentioning him ?

Beterbiev needs good bodypunch to KO someone like Briedis, I'm not saying he will definitely KO him, but to say he has no chance, is delusional.

I've seen the fight several times, it was not even close to a robbery.

    Precisely this.
Plus Briedis is as thought as they come.

How much do you think Beterbiev weighs exactly out of the ring to be a average/small cruiser???

I'd imagine a little over 200 lbs with more body fat on him. He could probably go up and weigh in at 190-195 and still be lean.

Beterbiev is not some huge LHW. He looked about the same size as Bivol when they stood next to each other. He's bigger and more muscular but not that much bigger. Callum Smith looked a lot bigger than him. Beterbiev has a lot of muscle packed onto his frame but his frame isn't that big. His legs look thin too

Even Yarde's coach said he was surprised by his lack of size after seeing the rehydrated version of him in the ring on fight night

He just trains crazy hard and displays a level of discipline like few others

But he could definitely bulk up to at least 200lbs given his low body fat percentage and even a 200lb version of him, a prime version of him that is, would be very formidable at that weight.

But Briedis is a beast. He's a very complete fighter who is strong in virtually ever department.

He hits ridiculously hard and is very explosive

    He's fast and strong

He's super tough with a great chin. He's never been down, let alone stopped. I don't even think he's really been hurt before. People say he was hurt by Jai but that was broken bones hurt not wobbly legs senses scrambled hurt because his nose had just been shattered by a beautiful uppercut.

    He has really good skills

    A high ring IQ

    Can box and fight

    Has a good engine

Sergiy Radchenko who has sparred Wlad, Usyk, Briedis, Huck, Glowacki, Wlodarczyk, Kudryashov and Chakhkiev among others said this about Briedis

''You just can't be lighting fast and hit hard at the same time in this division, although Mairis Briedis is an exception - he is fast, the second fastest guy I sparred behind Usyk, and hits very hard''

He is the same frame as me, and I need to lift a lot of weights to be over 200 pounds. He would be right at the limit and carrying quite a bit more bodyfat because he doesn't do enough resistance training to be a 200 pound guy with a frame like that. So small, or smallest guy in the CW
    division.

Whilst everyone else would be boiling down to 200 as they have bigger frame. So really he would be like Roy Jones Jr when he just about made it 3 pounds over the cruiser limit back in the day at 193 when he went to HW. Still a very small heavyweight.

Beterbiev is 5'11" and is about 190ish when very lean. Anybody who is over 205+ at 5'11" and very lean is an absolute genetic outlier. Virtually nobody Beterbiev's height is going much over 200 pounds and very lean. It's basically impossible. He could pack on some more muscle and fat and still be in good shape though and get into the ring at 205ish. But he's not a natural Cruiser like Brieidis. Beterbiev would be softer in the body at Cruiserweight.

I agree that's what I'm saying. I don't think he would be that soft though.

Yarde was noticeably larger than Beterbiev. Some say the Yarde is one of the larger LHWs, and I too was surprised at how big it was and wondered how many kilos (pounds) it weighed.

I wouldn't compare Beterbiev to CW though, because Beterbiev is still a LHW knockout artist, not a superman.
P.S. I saw the threads of Beterbiev Vs. Bredls, Opetaia...
