Or Manny could step or run into the jab.

Don't often see him run into jabs since he ducks when throwing the left, if he gets caught with them it's pulling out.

Floyd is not much of a jabber . He prefers to use his lead right or his hook. Watch him against any southpaw. As bogo said he uses his jab more as a measuring stick in those cases.

If Floyd sticks to what he normally does he'll look to lead with his right hand and then maybe bring the left hook over, or look counter manny with the same punches.

We've gone over this a million times but Floyd's problem in this fight is this -

    1. He has a relatively stationary style of defense - feet planted, tight upper guard
    2. He has a bad habit of moving / backing off in straight lines
    3. He generally doesn't react well to getting hit (closes up, runs straight back, and basically overreacts).
    4. He consistently moves into the southpaw left, and doesnt get his foot on the outside - vital against Pacquiao

The problem with the argument that Floyd will keep Pac at the end of his jab is that Floyd just doesn't tend to fight that way. He's habituated to letting fighters come inside. He actually invites fighters to come in, because he prefers to fight that way. That would be a mistake against Pacquiao who could use his feints and movement to burst in with combinations, back out again, shift angles and basically do what he does when he's at his best.

In order for Floyd to do all these things people say he'll do hes gotta be a different fighter then what we've seen. If he's gonna be the same fighter who fought Judah, Corley, Mitchell, and Ortiz, he's gonna get into trouble

He's never fought Floyd before. And before he pulls out he has to come in. Boom, jab.

Floyd uses whatever tools are necessary. At 130 for instance, he jabbed a lot. Jabbed a lot against Mosley as well.

I work smarter not harder. A shame you'd rather discuss me rather than the topic.

Really? because I call you out on this, you think I want to discuss "you"? get over yourself....you obviously need to. You don't post smart, you post to defend Floyd no matter what, even if you have to be less then truthful.

How about discussing what I said? Maybe that'll lead to a response that meets your word count.

Lol @ calling someone out on the length of posts. Get out more.

Pac doesnt have an effective jab so exachaning jabs wont be a problem. It doesnt need to land with authority either, just make pac reset, let him know its something else he can get hit with. Makes him think that much more( you want pac thinking). You are getting to caught up in stances and feet positioning. It wont be the deciding factor IMO but will still play a role.

He doesnt ALWAYS DUCK throwing the left. I've seen Manny run into a bunch of shots some which he shouldnt have got hit with. He gets himself out of position a lot and often punches himself off balance. He doesnt often run into jabs but how many fighters has he fought with a jab? Tim, Juan,Morales and Cotto ran pac into some jabs.

Manny was stronger, faster and more powerful. He also has a much bigger heart and Mayweather isn't as good vs. southpaws.

The biggest hurdle for Pac is the size difference. If that wasnt a factor, Pac would be an absolute nightmare for Floyd, if he isnt already.
