2007 - Mayweather UD 2008 - Mayweather SD 2009 - even 2010 - Mayweather UD 2011 - Mayweather UD 2012 - Mayweather TKO 2013 - Mayweather TKO Best version vs best version : Tough fight for both.... hard to call. If Pac is anything less then his best though he falls short against mayweather, imo.
Manny will give Floyd some trouble early with the speed and power, But there is a big difference between the two in this fight, Floyd knows what to do when he gets hurt, Manny simply tries to go after some get back which is what has been his problem in fights he lost. Floyd late TKO straight right hands all day long
Used to favor Manny by competitive decision. Started leaning more towards Floyd as the years went by and I started studying each element of his game, Floyd is so versatile, so it has gone back and forth in my mind. Floyd makes fantastic adjustments but he has one ch*nk in his armor, the vulnerability to the straight left early when in the philly shell because of planted feet, that could lead to a ground-breaking dynamic early. If Pac hits Floyd and drops him with a shot like this, that by itself would be history and ask questions of Floyd's composure that have never been asked before. A pawing double jab and a left is not something unknown to Manny. This content is protected Regardless, how would Floyd adjust? He doesn't turn like Marquez does to set up the right hand. Would he try to walk Manny down like he has every other southpaw he's fought? Pac's more mobile than Judah and Corley but less conventional in his technique and defensive guard. It would be a very unique dynamic. I was really looking forward to seeing it. But maybe that ship hasn't sailed quite yet. Better late than never, especially if Manny can perform like he did in his last fight.
shame we never got to see this ****in fight i know that much. black eye on boxing n a slap in the face to fans
Floyd UD Prime Pac was a beast because he fought guys that stood there, imagine if he fought Marquez in 2009 or 2010, he woulda got ktfo for being too aggressive
Floyd's chin is not suspect and he has too many survival instincts to get stopped. My guess is that in the best case scenario, Manny drops or hurts him (more likely) with a good shot, and Floyd starts fighting defensively while Manny goes into the second half with a lead on points due to activity. Floyd may adjust well and start winning rounds by timing Manny's forward rushes, but he'd be either very careful or very offensive, both would allow Manny to rally late and steal a decisive round or two.
While I agree with people choosing mayweather to win a unanimous decision there's a better chance of Pacquiao getting the KO rather than mayweather.
As I have said before, take away Cortez, remove corrupt refs, put someone in with real speed and mayweather is exposed. he lost to Castillo who isn't half the fighter Pac is, he lost to ODLH who isn't the fighter Pac is, and he struggled with Judah hence why he never fought anyone with speed since. Pac has every tool May fears, speed, relentless output, power and angles he doesn't even know about. Prime Pac ko's mayweather, past prime Pac makes mayweather quit, and todays Pac wins a UD.
nut A Prime Pacquiao was getting his ass handed to him by a younger Marquez, by a shot Erik Morales and lost to Tim Bradley with two injured feet. Manny makes the fight exciting in the first four or five rounds but Floyd turns Mannys offense into a defensive nightmare for Manny, as he will expose every mistake Manny makes when he is coming forward while throwing shots aimlessly. This is exactly how Marquez beat him at least twice, this is also how Morales beat him, Mayweather will adapt, adjust and push Manny back, and Manny has never fought that great while going back so if you take away his forward momentum and make him find another way to beat you Manny doesnt have another way there is only one way for Manny, which is to come forward with speed and power. all of which has left him opened to be countered, Floyd eats him up from round 5 on and stops him before the championship rounds
He dominated Cotto, and lets not forget Floyd is a bit older these days, slowed down a bit, but lets also not forget he wasnt knocked the **** out face first laid out sleeping for two days he hasnt had that much abuse on his body as Manny has all of that matters. Manny doesnt beat Floyd but he puts up a good showing for himself before he gets knocked out
