while it is unlikely, it is possible if manny works hard in the early rounds before mayweather can adapt to him. we've seen from the mosley fight that mayweather can adapt to different fighters but it takes him a little while to do that. manny is much better than mosley and if mosley can buckle him its not too farfetched that manny might get a KO.

Prime Pacquiao was a monster, he had all the tools to beat Mayweather.

Pac would make Floyd work hard for the victory, and when I say hard I mean Floyd would have to engage and put punches together to win enough rounds clearly. He wouldn't be able to sit back and roll shots against a fast combination-punching southpaw like Pac. I think he'd stand his ground in the center of the ring and land crisp right hands to break Pac's combos. Pac's speed might shock him early on (and he might get caught by a big shot) but I think he would adjust and figure out Pac's rhythm but he would still have to work every minute of every round to keep this tiger off of him.

    Floyd UD.

prime pac beat a bunch of guys who were too scared or too old and weak to fight back. none of the guys he beat capitalized on all those wild ass mistakes he was making in the ring. difference between mayweather and the guys prime pac beat is that mayweather wants to win, so everytime pac makes a mistake floyd will take advantage of it just like marquez did.

The thing is, they both can KO each other. They're very sneaky when it comes to catching their opponents when they least expect it. Floyd would definitely have problems with Manny's explosive and speedy style early on, but make no mistake, Floyd would find something that works and stick with it and would have plenty of openings to get his shots off and win by UD.

The difference in stances of the opponent is THE key difference. Usually if one fighter has their foot on the outside, their rear hand has a better angle for it. Against the ropes if Manny falls in then Floyd can land the shot as the angle doesn't matter, but if Manny sidesteps like he often does, the right hand is out of reach. Bradley has a strong right hand and is quicker than Marquez but the only thing that landed for him were jabs and body shots in the clinch. Marquez used his waist to make himself a small movement and slip leftward, Floyd most often rolls and slips towards his right. The right hand isn't just there, it has to be set up with a side-step in either direction. Floyd moves to his right more often which can work but is riskier. When Floyd defends he does it planted:

When Floyd takes a step forward he gets his lead foot on the outside, but with Manny's own aggression and feints, it's not something I see him having success with round after round, not early at least. Manny throws while stepping rightward.

See? The right hand is out of reach unless you side-step first.

Manny's footspeed and angles is key to his whole game and nobody really ever turns Mayweather. Would have been interesting to see him deal with that.

I think Floyd is just too savvy to get outright stopped. If he's hurt or dropped, he'll hold and survive. I don't think Manny can KO him cold. He has explosive power but as efficient as he is in thrusting his weight forward off the back foot, it's still only so much weight.

But I do see your point, both guys often catch their opponents when they don't see the shot coming when snuck in, and those are the ones that hurt most.

Floyd would have definitely caught Manny with a short inside uppercut or hook by looking at this gif. Floyd is just a more instinctive fighter than Bradley. I'm not saying that he wouldn't get caught the way that Bradley did on this gif, but if Manny continues to show the same moving, side-step patterns for the rest of the fight, then Floyd would definitely adapt and find another way to get his shot off better.
