Depending on which MAB you consider PRIME, this can either be a UD or a TKO/KO in favor of Barrera.

This is the kind of **** that irritates me. Not accepting any opinions that are not at least 95% like your own. And he's still young, he won olympic gold, he's among the top of the featherweight rankings. He's been KDed 3 times in 16 fights btw, so saying "gets floored in damn near every fight he's in" is just clueless. Also, he has not been knocked down in his last 4 outings, with one being a WBA title bout.

I don't buy the: The legend always beats the up-coming fighter logic. Or the: a 1960 fighter vs 2000 fighter. Guess i will sound like a real historian expert and pick the old guy.

We need to see more of Gamboa to judge this, but he certainly has the physical skillset. I take MAB at this point though.

[Gamboa looks pretty good. He makes for exciting fights because he never stops punching and he's pretty easy to hit himself, he'll give some good fighters a few anxious moments. He looks NOTHING like a young MAB, or even a MAB in his first few years at FW. Not in the same class, not even close.[/quote]

Gamboa was as just as good Barrera in the first few years with early ko's....

Difference being, Marco started when he was 15...Gamboa started when he was like 25.

You are entitled to your own opinion sir, you are NOT entitled to your own facts. And if you have an exceedingly stupid opinion and you want to parade it on a public forum as if it's something to be proud of, rest assured someone will be there to knock you down. Just like Gamboa gets knocked down by every other 35 yr old Mexican shoe salesman he fights.

gamboa always gets knocked down too much by average fighters. if MAB knock him down, you bet your house he will go in for the kill and finish him. MAB's skill level and ability to think is so much higher than gamboa. MAB would finish him somewhere between rounds 5-7. maybe 8 if his corner doens't know what their doing and send him out for more punishment.

Yep, you don't know that Gamboa gets knocked down regularly by average fighters, or that MAB was known as a vicious brawling beast for the first 12 years and two championship belts of his career; you're posting as if you're some kind of MAB expert, and I'M the fool.

    Ok buddy.

We'll have to see how Gamboa's career pans out but as of now MAB takes this one, probably by KO!
