Prime Margarito beats Cotto any day!

    I rewatched the 2nd fight. The 2nd proved that the alleged hand wraps weren't the reason Margarito beat Cotto the first time.

    Maybe Margarito was cheating in the first fight, maybe he wasn't. But I think the 2nd fight really proved that Margarito was just always going to be a horrible style matchup.

    Now I know you might say "Cotto won that fight and stopped Margarito". Yea he did, but he stopped an older, shot version of Margarito coming off a beating to Pacquiao and having been out of the sport for a year.

    Despite Cotto winning the fight, the shot Margarito did very well in that fight. He busted and bruised up Cotto's face, he was really coming on in the last few rounds of that fight and I definitely disagreed with the stoppage. Maybe Cotto still wins the fight, but Margarito had a very strong round 9.

    Now If Cotto was getting lit up by shot Margarito, what would prime Margarito do to him?

    I think we know the answer... taking a knee

    cotto has to thank pacqauio because if it was not for the eye toni would of stopped him

    every time toni hit cotto it had a effect he was running like a *****

    Tony's eye was the only reason Cotto took the return fight. He knew the eye was permanently damaged. It was useless after the second round. But Cotto STILL couldn't put away a one eyed Margarito. Tony was coming on& Cotto was wilting when that crooked doc stopped the fight. He saved Cotto from quitting AGAIN!!!!!

    i honestly thought cotto fought much better in the first fight before wilting. i remember watching the first fight and thinking "damn cotto is putting on a clinic."

    the second fight cotto was doing a good job of boxing but it wasn't anything like the first fight in my opinion. margo was just a bit too shopworn at the time.

    :rofl:rofl *******s taking credit again. Cotto has to thank Mosley for exposing that cheat. 0% win rate against quality opponents after Naz and Mosley exposed him. Without concrete Margarito is dudu.

    Come on man,,, Margarito has no skills, just a granite chin that boxers get exhausted from hitting. Any well conditioned world class level boxer can beat him 10 out of 10 times. A Cotto from the first fight who trains for twelve rounds instead of 6 will starch him every time. As for the second fight, cheato had a moment or two in the last two rounds, but it was going nowhere, he'd hit once and get countered twice, he maybe had one unanswered punch the whole fight.

    Prime Margarito beats any Weltweight of the last 10 years not named Manny Pacquiao.

    The Margarito that beat Cotto forced Chicken Floyd into retirement as he knew that was the ONLY guy back in the summer of 2008 that the public demanded he fight.

    Chicken Mayweather is the worst thing that has happend to Boxing.

    agree , regarding Cotto - Margarito 1

    Keith Kizer, executive head of the NSAC, said that referee Jay Nady and Jack Lazzarotto, the inspector assigned to watch Margarito say not only was Margarito clean, but uncle Evangelista was also there. Lazzaratto, who has 14 years experience said he checked the wraps and can “tell you emphatically that there was nothing illegal about the wraps”. Face it fellas, Cotto just got beat by the better man that night.

    Last time i checked he has losses against all the best fighters he fought. Williams, Cotto, Mosely Pacqiuao.........

    The only thing I know was that after Margarito got caught using concrete, his record was 1-3 lmfao.

    Also, can someone please explain to me what they saw in the Marg-Cotto 2 fight?

    I really want to know. Honestly I just saw Cotto boxing and beat the ever loving **** out of Margo. During the last round before it was stopped, Cotto was rocking Margo back and fourth and the ref stopped it due to his eye yet people state that if the fight continued, Margo would of won?
