prime Margarito vs prime Hearns

This is why this forum pisses me off.

 

This thread is hilarious. I've already read that Margo beats Hearns, and would stop Duran. I saw that someone else wrote that Margo could effectively pressure Hearns as well as Hagler did. Oh yeah, someone else wrote that Cintron hits as hard as Hearns.

How he has KO'd them? It does matter. Starching nobodies who have been knocked out by other fighters relitivly light hitting ones at that does not mean anything.

He hit Feliciano with plenty. If Hearns did that he would have decapitated them early.

I believe Jack told me around the time of the Hopkins/Calzaghe fight that Calzaghe was further past his prime than Hopkins.

 

I don't see anyone KOing Margarito, but Hearns would absolutely positively win the match by grossly outboxing him.

The only fantasy here is anyone that's guaranteeing a KO against Margarito.

 

Why? What about the people saying Margo would win?

 

At 147 Margo can walk through any boxer's punches except Hearns. Who was taller and longer. Hearns wins UD.

 

So youre saying Margarito would stop leonard...are you nuts. Leonard actually fought 15 round fights, against better fighters than Margarito, and won. How can you say he wont lose a 15 rounder and the guy never fought one. Leonard is a top 3 all-time welterweight and he couldnt get by Margarito, who although a good fighter would be made to order for Leonard. Who wasnt a small welterrweight, had great speed skills and savvy.

Why? Because we've yet to see anyone at 147 seriously hurt him. At best, Hearns would grind his face into hamburger (which is quite likely). But a KO? Nah, I can't see it.

Margo wouldn't win because I don't see Hearns allowing it to happen. Hearns would know it would totally foolish to trade with Margarito. He'd bomb him from the outside all night long (if not, Steward would DEMAND he does that). That would be my only fear. That Hearns would get happy with his pounding on Margarito's dome and let him get inside and work. But, I truly doubt that would actually happen.
