prime Margarito vs prime Hearns

Hearns doesn't hit twice as hard as Cintron, however.

Hearns never KOed a guy with a chin like Margarito's at 147lbs.

 

He knocked Duran the **** out like no man before or after did regardless of weight.

 

If u want to know i said margarito would knock out cotto too. And many people in this forum seemed to take issue with this. Ray Charles Leonard was a great welterweight. Leonard's win at montreal 1n 1976 over cuban fighter Aldama was one of my favorite fights of my childhood. Leonard is an all time great no question. But Margarito's chin at 147 is something to behold. You should think about having a lobotomy if u think margarito couldn't fight 15 rounds. The man throws more punches in 12 rounds than over 95% of the fighters who did fight 15 rounds. It's called thinking outside the box. Give margarito his due. Leonard skills are the best i ever seen at welterweight. But boxing is more then just skill sets. If you give a man a great chin who has incredible endurance the sky is the limit.

So like I said you said the great Leonard would get stopped in 14 rounds by Maragrito....thats a laugh. I'll let you think on that partner. Boxing is more than having a great chin. If you get hit less and hit more you win. Thats boxing and Margarito would have to land meaningful punches to win and he wouldnt against Leonard.....Learn somemore about boxing man.

thank goodness!! this thread has revived my faith in this forum. Lets not go crazy here Hearns had ATG power. We are are talking about one of the greatest punchers at welter in the games history. Margo wading in slow and with half a defense is a walking highlight KO. It would be highlight reel brutal, Im talking out Asleep inside three. The combo of Margos slow come on approach and Hearns lightning KO right is not good for Margo. No height advantage here either spells doom for Margarito.

 

Ban this man for life, he dont know nothing bout boxing. Duran from Montreal would kick Margarito's ass as well.

Based off of Margarito's performance Saturday nigh and Hearn's loses to Barkley, you've gotta go with Margarito by stoppage here. Though, this doesn't make Margarito an ATG like Hearns.

 

Hearns was not slow on his feet and had great movement. He may not KO margarito with one punch but he would beat him from the outside. Especially if he had a normal sized ring.
