Whoever started this thread obviously has impaired reasoning skills. Rational thinking based on observable data and made by an informed forum poster would never neglect to understand the following: Tito Trinidad is tall and long and so Margarito would have no size advantage. The draining advantage Margo enjoyed vs other fighters would be nullified vs Tito. Tito has a murderous left hook and is faster than Margarito. Margarito and his come forward face first style is tailor- made to specific order for Trinidad. Margarito would basically have been a slow moving piƱata that Trinidad would have pounded into retirement. Finally Trinidad holds every advantage in boxing skill, speed power and stamina. The only thing Margo may have that edges Tito is the chin. That however will not save him from being hurt really badly.
There's no logical reason to completely dismiss the possibility of Margarito pulling off the upset, he possessed a great motor, iron chin, and good power. But I'd still favor Tito in a competitive fight.
Troy Waters was a tall guy and as tough as hell . Troy was also a much better fighter than Tony . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttEFWwnj62Q
At 154 Tito would win I think. The Tito who fought Vargas would probably win a UD. Not sure how Margaritos face would hold up under Tito's hooks and uppercuts. Tough fight to call. I'm not sure Trinidad had ever faced an extreme pressure fighter like Margarito. I'll have to look at his resume when I have time.
:rofl I was going to pick Tito but the more I think about it Margarito had the better wraps and chin Tough one
