PRIME Margarito would wreak havoc in todays welterweight division !!

Tony didn't get the chance to do what he did first time . Only because the crooked doctor stopped the fight. Not to save Margarito, he'd already fought for 6 or 7 rounds with one eye , but to save Cotto from having to take a knee & QUIT AGAIN!!!!!!!
Face facts Tony Margarito kicked Cotto's ass LEGITIMATELY!!! & was ready to do it again till the NY doc stopped him

 

funny how they leave out the facts

#1) Cotto in a rematch with Margarito gives him an opportunity to adjust the game plan and fight differently than he did the first time

#2) part of that game plan was to target an already damaged eye and hope that he gets a stoppage that way

#3) Cotto insisted that Margarito use the Everlast brand gloves as opposed to the punchers glove Reyes

#4) the rematch took place at Jr Middle in which the gloves are 10 ounces as opposed to the 8 ounce gloves used when they fought at welter.

Knowing this people have the nerve to ignore these facts that did make a big difference in the fight and accuse the man of cheating in their first fight simply because they are suggesting those "thudding blows" dont have the same effect? umm Bigger gloves and a different brand will end in a result like that you dumbass.

The last round of the fight tells the story, Cotto was gassed the **** out and hit a wall and the commission in NY was not going to allow the bad guy do it again in Cottos home town the Dr stopped the fight even though Margarito answered him correctly each and every time.

Had the Dr not stopped that fight Miguel would have quit yet again....

 

Margarito really wasn't that good. Dude really lacked any good defense. He had one hell of a chin I must say, but it will only take you so far. I see a lot of post saying Floyd avoided him, because he was scared. Really? Floyd would have took Margarito apart. De la Hoya would of took him apart and Shane already did it. As far as the fighters mention above, I would give Thurman, Mathysse, Madina and Bradley a good chance of beating him. I would give Ortiz a shot as well, but he would really have to be gamed for the fight to win it.

 

Did Margarito even have a prime?

 

Let's be fair. Margacheato beat a nobody without wraps. He's 1-3 in his fights since being caught. Funny how the most feared man in boxing became dudu without concrete. That scumbag still has fans on this board and of course is promoted by the scum master Arum.

 

Especially if he brought along his special wraps.

IF,as you say, Margarito was caught cheating Why wasn't he prosecuted???? IF Margarito really did have tainted wraps how come the California state athletic commission could not present the so called tainted wraps for inspection when asked to do so????? The excuse was " They got MISLAID" C'mon man this stinks worse than any sewer:twisted::twisted::twisted:

 

Well the proof is in the pudding!! Margarito no defense face first style made for a shorten career and limited to one weight class.

Margarito style would not have worked so well at 154 and 160 which is where he should been fighting.

 

Margarito and his management team threw Javier under the bus and blamed him for the entire issue.
Because was willing to take the entire blame in which he said and I quote "I accidentally inserted the harden pieces knuckle pad into margarito hand wraps"

Also had Margarito used those pad and injured Mosely then the state of Nevada could have brought him on charges, but since he did not it was a hearing on his future in boxing.

Also because javier admitted to the issue, do they really need the pads ?

 

Remember in the 24/7 Margarito was saying he was destroy him even sooner than the last time? What happened to that game plan?
