who wins, theres very little doubt in my mind that either of the trio would have the power to put him away i see starling beating all 3

I'd take him against Trinidad based purely on styles, I'n not so sure about Oscar and esp. Mosely.

    Why is Starling virtually forgotten?

I actually think Hoya has the best chance here...Tito and Shane dont have the versatility or skills to deal the with the defensive talent of Marlon. That being said they could eek it out because of the lack of work that can come from Starling but I think he has the goods the outbox both if he wants to. Hoya vs him would be a very good match..maybe the size and speed of Oscar could see him fair better here.

Why is Starling forgotten? Perhaps his less then endearing style, perhaps its his stop start career because someone like Curry was around aswell.

Yep, he was never the most exciting fighter and even after Curry was out of the way he didn't catch the fans' imagination.

He outboxes Trinidad IMO, Hoya gives him the toughest bout, tough one to call. Mosley definately has the speed to give him fits, but I think he gets out thought down the stretch.

Prime Starling would take all three, maybe Mosely and De La Hoya are close fights, but if he's into the clowning mode of the first Curry fight, they would outwork him.

I'd slightly favour DLH over him, 50/50 with Mosley, and slightly favour him over Tito.

I'd favor Starling to win decisions over Tito and Mosley.

A fight with DLH ends in a controversial decision which is debated for many years, like most of DLH's big fights at WW.

I think he would decision Tito fairly easily. He has the same hands high guard Winky had but with a bit more movement and sharper punches (IMO)

I like Starling, he is 'forgotten' by some. I almost think Mosley's speed at Welter (plus his power) might see him win (the version that beat Oscar the first time) However, as Sweet Pea said 'if you're being outboxed by Miguel Cotto' (i.e I think it is doubtful Shane woulda beaten Starling)

If Oscar can keep range and pump out his jab and throw ineffective but flashy flurries, he can win a decision in my book.

I dont think Starling was that effective from long range, if you didn't go inside with him then you could win the fight.

Tito would probably have a lot of trouble with Starling because he would find it diffcult to prize open Starling's defence and he would get tattoed with counter punches if he stood infront of Starling. I dont think Tito would fight a smart enough fight to beat him, but then again i cant remember anyone standing infront of a prime Trinidad and not paying a price for it.

I think Shane might possibly outwork Starling or outgut him in a tough fight, Shane Mosley would get behind those elbows and wear Starling down imo, Shane was a tremendous body puncher back in the day, he still is but he was more committed to it back then.

DLH might have the same kind of problems he had with Sturm although i think a prime DLH in top shape would probably just about get by him.

Starling arguably deat Michael Nunn imo, gave Honeyghan a beat down, knocked Breland silly and lost two hard fights to Curry he was an excellent fighter.
