Roy is naturally bigger which plays in his favor, but he was still rather green and improving at 160.

Also, Jones had a lot of experience against lefties, but that was after his time at 160. That was mostly at 175, and also 168.

I'm not sure if Jones had the experience to win at 160 over someone the caliber of Hagler, even though he had the natural size.

Are we talking Prime 4 Prime or old Hagler vs Prime Roy or what? Either way Roy gets his Glass Jaw shattered. SRL is twice the fighter Roy ever was.

Oh, so you are figuring the version of Hagler from his last ever fight...and that was still a controversial decision...far from a schooling.

    ...Schooled by Leonard...???:rofl

    Idiot.

You are obviously new. But here you go, you cannot walk down a power puncher who will not get involved in a brawel, particularly if said power puncher has thee fastest hands, that a MW fighter has ever had.

To beat Jones at MW, you would need to slow him down with body work, which normally has very little affect on him.

Jones was knocked down by Lou De Valle, at 175, got straight back up and was never close to being stopped. Have you seen the fight?

Probably because that guy was never schooled by Leonard and was past his prime at the end of his career when that fight took place.

If you said it to spite Rico Spadafora, pay him no attention, he looks like one of those big monsters with little heads from the Super Mario Brothers movie. He posted his pic in the Lounge and was ripped on constantly. He shut his trap very quickly after everyone shredded him.

Your ability to appraise this issue fairly is obviously hampered by your homoerotic love for Hagler and youre jaded hatred of Roy Jones. There is no point talking to you.

Jones power would not matter against the Iron Chinned Hagler. And you are calling me an idiot? :rofl LOL. Jones is not going to do **** power wise to Hagler. Glass Jaw Roy would get his ass brutally KOed by Hagler. Hagler was a much tougher fighter than Roy ever dreamed of being.

I wouldn't think that Jones would laugh off the body attack, but I do not think it would slow him sufficently for a stoppage to occur.

Roy was never really much of a jabber. I doubt he would aganst Hagler, he would basically limit himself to right hands, left hooks, occasional jabbing and body work. With combinations thrown when he could.

Please. It was a lopsided victory for pure boxing over an oaflike hack.

It was bad enough listening to Hagler the bad sport blubber like a little ***** after the fight. Dont you fans start.

I thought RJJ might be smart enough to fight behind a jab vs. Hagler...you know him better than me though.

If RJJ doesn't try to use a jab against Hagler, Marvin will be able to get inside. Hagler is not Sam Peter.

Hagler was iron chinned and yes Jones would not stop Hagler ever, but at 160 Jones hit hard enough to gain Haglers respect.

You cannot walk through fighters who do not engade and punch hard. To walk through fighters you need to have openings to hit them clean to push them back.

Your analysis is **** and your head is very small. :thumbsup

I would never teach a fighter to jab vs a southpaw with a good jab.

The best way to fight a southpaw who jabs is to counter with a right hand over the top.
