Baer´s one of the most misunderstood fighters on here. One handed, only wide punches, unskilled ... :-(

A toss up if there ever was one. Foreman was more consistent so he deserves to be a slight favorite.

bear once went 20 rounds, never gassed out and had a world class jaw. I think he has an edge here but it depends what max turns up. However green the peak foreman was he always turned up to kick ass.

    Wouldn't work.

Their range is more or less the same, so I cannot see Foreman not getting drawn into an full out exchange.

It depends....how do you rate Foreman´s jab ?
    Pretty good in my opinion.....
It´s not about range...It´s more how they used their range......
In my opinion of course.....By the way, I´m not one of those who thinks "Baer was unskilled".....

  9. Foreman by 1st round Ko. Baer looks impressive fighting a bunch of 170 pounders. Foreman isnt 170 pounds

Foreman was a great technical boxer...... compared to Max Baer. With that said I'll take Foreman by KO.

I have said earlier in this thread that Foreman should be favoured (I think), but I don't see his jab as being decisive.

Baer had almost identical dimensions and an under rated jab of his own.

You mean 170lb fighters like Primo Carnera?

What world class oponent did Foreman beat who was as big as Carnera, if size of oponents is a key issue?

 An Olympic Gold Medalist who fought and crushed Joe Frazier, Ken Norton and Ron Lyle against a flat out , wild swinging amateur who did not even know what a left jab was let alone how to slip one and who never even fought a man close to his own size who could fight is a toss up ... what a joke ...

Foreman would tear his head off early .. a round or two , tops ...

    George Foreman - 250,000
    Max Baer - 118,000

  15. Primo was a big mob controlled fighter with no skill

How many 230 pound black fighters did Baer or Primo fight? None and they would beat none if they tried
