more mythical matchups but i just gotta know what the general consensous of you wonderful boxing entheusists think bout these matchups.i find it concievable that each could win 2 out of 3 against each other but i dont think any of them would last very long.

    Bombs away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I would favour Baer ovewr both these guys because of his better durability. Both fights are going to come down to Foreman Lyle slugfests where the more durable guy is likley to prevail.

I would certainly give Lyle a good chance of pulling an upset however and I think that his counterpunching would give Baer some scary moments..

I'd favor Baer over Shaver's comfortably.

Both Baer's had disgustingly good chins. I've never seen ANY fighter absorb so many shots from Joe Louis... And even when Max did go down he took a knee and more or less simply conceded defeat.

I honestly can't see Max's chin outside of the top 15 all time, for Heavyweights.

So more or less he and Shaver's bomb the **** out of one another for a few rounds, Baer's far superior stamina lets him do it longer, he wins, etc.

    Simple. :D

    I agree.

Baer Lyle is going to be the interesting one here.

Didn't Baer actually fight in matches scheduled for more then 15 years early in his career, Janitor?

Yeah, him and Louis were basically some of the last fighters to make that transition, right?

    Yep.

Baer went 20 against Udcdun and Levinsky. Louis was scheduled to go 20 against Bob Pastor and Abe Simon.
