Mark, you move two steps forward and one step back. Just when i think wow Mark's really came along you post dribble such as the above and rest assured it's dribble. Perhaps someone will throw a couple of SRL breakdowns on youtube at some point.

Floyd would have thrown less punches v Hagler than Spinks did in his first fight v Ali.

Yes, there’ll always be omissions from anyone’s resume. Of course. I respect that. You could find gaps in someone’s resume even if someone had fought 200 times. But Floyd had a fight lined up with Winky. He ran his mouth. So the 2 teams negotiated, and everything was pretty much set up. But then Floyd backed out at the last minute. And again, we all know of the saga with Manny, as well as the fact that he’d only fight Canelo at a C-W.

Those are not the actions of a guy who’d have been willing to have fought Marvin Hagler at MW. Any version of Marvin Hagler. Floyd would never have taken a fight like that. He would never have put himself in that position. So any talk of where he’d probably have beaten Marvin is nonsense. Because even IF he had’ve fought him, he’d have fought cautiously and defensively. It wasn’t in his nature to have fought in a different manner.

You’ve got to stop comparing the stats and look at how a fight would realistically have played out, based upon their styles and their characteristics.

Cotto applied lots of clever pressure and gave Mayweather one of his hardest fights in years. Regardless, he was no middleweight and his chin wasn't great. Hagler wouldn't respect Mayweather whatsoever. Hagler didn't respect Tommy Hearns for **** sake.

just another ploy by the haters.

I bring up the nature of the ploy. You say "I respect that" then you bring up someone like Winky

there was no demand for Winky anyways, yet you portray him as this ominous threat with some special attributes all the others lacked

    What ever became of him?

    and why should I not?

He's done everything asked of him and passed with flying colors. That is why he is so hated

They said the same thing about Hagler when he was on his way up. The media hated him to no end

what kind of power you ask?

The kind of power that gained him a perfect 50 - 0 record

You should know your proper place pretentious one. If I were you, I'd stop asking questions

    That's right, he did

Just look at the rematch he gave Hagler and that menace, Donny Lalonde

    Ooh, watch out for Donny!

Yeah, nothing to do with his domestic violence convictions or racism towards Asians.

Anyway, you are a troll and I am feeding you. So this is the last response you will get from me.

^ that third fight with Duran, just look at all the risks Ray took! It really puzzles me why the audience kept up all the booing

Winky was the JMW champ who’d just beaten Mosley and Tito.

A huge fight for Winky’s titles.

Everything was AGREED. Meaning that Floyd wanted it at first. But then he had second thoughts and reneged on the deal.

This is apparently the same guy who’d PROBABLY have beaten Hagler at MW.
