This is a fight i have been thinking about. I was like "damn imagine if these 2 great prime fighters fight each other."

This i think it's a bit hard to call. Some might say "Since Chavez tko prime Taylor, Whitaker would easily beat him." <<<<<<I hope some here remember that style makes fight? Whitaker vs Taylor style match up is close to an even one cause both were great fighters with great skills and both had speed. But Whitaker has the edge on slicking skills. So for me i say Whitaker by ud.

You should go to youtube website like tommorow to watch videos of Taylor in his prime. You be amaze by his speed. But again if you think Whitaker is quicker then thats cool man i respect your opinion.

Taylor only had about 7-8 rounds of prime, then it was all over. Has to be Whitaker.

It's possible that Taylor could outwork Whitaker but it wasn't like Whitaker had a low workrate either. He had a good workrate as well.

I'd pick Whitaker's intelligence and more poilshed skills to be the key. They were both very fast. Taylor with the quicker hands, especially in his flurries, Whitaker with his reflexes and body movement to avoid shots. Taylor left himself open more often than Whitaker, and that would be a big difference.

    Whitaker UD.

Taylor's best performance was his 12 round shellacking of McGirt.

Pea thought highly of Meldrick, but according to him, Meldrick could never get anything going when the two sparred. As Pea put it, Meldrick's tricks "just didn't work" on him. Taylor had the faster hands, no doubt. That's about where his advantages end here, though.

Thats understandable sweat pea. I mean Whitaker is freaking left handed. Too southpaw is too much sometimes.
