Would a prime Grant be able to out jab Wlad who is he a 1 to 2 inch height advantage?

Would Wlad go "the streets" way and fight like Lennox did against his brother?

No. Wlad would outclass Michael Grant.

The one who may have been able to give Wlad some problems in his prime was actually Golota.

Golota was outboxing prime Grant quite easily until he decided to quit, so Wlad would do the same. The height advantage of Grant would be negligable - he never learned how to use it anyway, even against relatively small fighters like Adamek or Botha.

A very short fight. Grant had the bad habit of dropping his right hand when he threw a jab. Klitschko's right hand would have cracked Grant's jaw in very little time.

If you get a chance read some old boxing magazines written when Grant and Klitschko were coming up through the ranks, the big Ukrainian and Grant went from prospect to contender roughly about the same time, and Michael Grant was frequently refered to as the "heir apparent". It's hilarious in terms of what actually happend over the years and the accomplishments of either fighter. It will be as funny in a few years if you get your hands on some boxing publications or interviews and there's talk of a "wide open heavyweight division". It hasn't been wide open for some time now.

What happens if Wlad fought Prime Lewis in 2000 instead of Grant?

I know Wladimir is an ATG now, but Grant took that upper cut for Wlad. Be thankful to him instead of putting him down. Grant did it for Wlad.

I would probably win a lot of money when Klitschko upset Lewis. I think Klitschko could have beaten Lewis by forcing Lewis to cut off the ring going left. Lewis' left hook was nowhere near as good as the Ukrainians and as the saying goes, "don't hook with a hooker", plus Lewis was KOed twice by overhand rights and Klitschko has a great right hand himself and I feel like Klitschko could bring that right hand over one of Lewis' attempted hooks, text book fight ender.

BTW, people who understand boxing know that vs Klitschko, Lewis' uppercut would have been of no significance. Uppercuts are used when the opponent is lower, not above.

:lol::lol::patsch. A 2000-2003 Pre-Manny Stewart version of Wladimir would have been brutally knocked out cold by Lewis.

Lewis was knocked DOWN once and knocked out once because he thought those guys were bums. Against Wladimir, the super prospect, he will treat him as the biggest threat since Ruddock and either 1-fight cautiously to a 12-0 UD or 2-bomb him out.

This is a 2000-2003 version of Wlad. The fact that you think a 2000-2003
23 year old Wladimir could have beaten Lewis is a ****ing joke, you are one of the following 8 things.

    1- A Troll
    2- Hates Lewis
    3-Hates British
    4-Hates Jamicans
    5-Hates Canadians
    6-Hates Blacks
    7- A ******
8- Got Wlad's dick in your mouth.

I don't know which one, but you are delusional as **** if you think a Pre Prime, Pre Manny Wlad have any chance in HELL of beating Lewis.

Or maybe I'm an ex boxer who "sees something". And I'm telling you why I would consider betting on the underdog. So take your "got Wlad's dick in your mouth" comment and shove it up your repressed homosexual rectum.

I thought the most hilarious cover was the one with Audley Harrison, Domick Guinn and Joe Messi, saying they were the next Lewis, Tyson and Holyfield or something like that

It may be an easy pick but some one with a lot of boxing experience may see things that make a bet on Klitschko, who's the underdog, a very worthwile proposition. There's no way in hell that Lewis' footwork was as good as Vladimir, especially goint his left. Lewis' jab may have been heavier than Klitschko's jab but it was far more mechanical. Klitschko's own jab can come from many different angles and, a lot of people don't see this but it's there, Klitschko may be the best heavyweight I've ever seen with the ability to throw off-speed punches. Sure, Vegas oddsmakers would have Lewis a betting favorite, but I personally would have gone for the upset given the odds that they would have laid. I may have been wrong but I wasn't wrong for Sanders vs Vladimir or Douglas vs Tyson. Those worked out rather well for me.

I don't think Lewis was very self-confident when dealing with the Klitschkos. His refusal to play Vitali in a pre-fight chess game, his post fight insistence that Klitschko not fight a rematch for the sake of Klitschko's own eye and then his waiting for the result of the Vitali Sanders fight before officially retiring told me something too. He did not wish to compete.

It's comical when people describe Vladimir Klitschko as "robotic" or "mechanical". I wonder if they are paying attention to how he moves his left hand while boxing. Also, when they say he can't in-fight. I guess they don't know what an overhook and a collar tie are.

I'm not even particularly a Klitschko fan. I liked him when he was trained by Sdunek but the style he uses these days is just too reminescent of Lennox Lewis. Plus I have my own personal suspicions that Klitschko(s) have used PEDs---I'm not saying they did, or even if they did, they were only levelling the playing field so to speak, but we might not know how "naturally" talented they are. The skin on Vladimir's back when he was fighting Phil Jackson was practically raising a red flag IMO.

How do you explain the huge uppercuts Lewis landed on Grant and Vitali, who are both taller than Lewis?
