Wise pick is Cotto. But if Porter can make it ugly, and last, the better his chances are. Cotto might be more skilled, but I think Porter's strength and will COULD be an issue. Cotto HAS to fight his fight. But if strictly on a battle of 'wills', i think Porter has that advantage.
Melon Head Miguel takes this And imagine how quickly he would've signed on the dotted line upon catching wind about the double hip replacement Porter had in 2020-2021
I’d take clottey over porter as well…so, not sure what cotto basically drawing with him has to do with porter.
Cotto outboxes him and I could even see a stoppage by bodyshots late. Porter's skull may be too thick for even Cotto to crack.
Cotto especially during his welterweight run & since Clottey was brought up on here i believe he would even beat Porter.
Would be a very rough fight. Porter is better on the inside, but Cotto is better overall. They both have good jabs but Cotto's was slightly better and the crucial difference is he used it more and used his legs more as well. I think the key for Cotto is to not become repetitive or get suckered into a brawl. For Porter the key is to make it rough, ugly, and outland Cotto as much as possible to win rounds with good pressure and body shots. I would favor Cotto to win 6/10.
